A week ago today, two nutty florists ( and myself) went out on the snowy roads of SHEFFIELD volunteering as part of a wonderful team of Christmas tree collectors to raise money for

We high vizzed up, mapped out a plan and with great determination bunged as many humongous trees into Emma’s van, and unloaded them at Mayfield Alpacas for bedding as many times as we could over 1.5 days.

Only got stuck a couple of times in the snow, sang a whole range of absolute belters, met some wonderful people, snow creations and animals & all thanks to the great organisation of the Charity, the volunteers and the tremendous generous donations from all the members of the public donating money (also having their trees collected) for such a great cause that is Sheffields NHS

Such a lovely day in the shop the last few days ✨ Really starting to feel that Christmassy spirit and that’s thanks to all you lovely people who pop in!

Just rejigged the shop, made a few more grab and gos and raring to go for the last couple of open days before Christmas xx

For now, I’m going to enjoy a glass of🍷 with my 🍕 and get cracking on tomorrows orders.

Arrival from 6pm, we’ll be starting at 6.30

Looking forward to getting cracking! Deffo wrap up as it’s blooming cold! And if you have nice hands that aren’t ‘permo floristy’ a pair of gardening gloves might be handy!

PETALIS WREATH MAKING WORKSHOP

Well, here it is… our Christmassy Wreath making class of 2024! Friday 22nd November 2024 just off Bramall Lane, Sheffield. 18.30-21.30

£55 incl. all materials for wreath making plus a delicious mince pie. (Although please bring your own scissors/secateurs! Colourful woolly hat optional!)

We’ll have berries, grasses, foliages and fruits galore. The bar will be stocked so you can enjoy your own tipple along the way. Finish the night leaving with your very own gorgeous handmade wreath to tart up your door, wall or even stick it on a table with a candle in the middle. The possibilities are endless!

Well, not sure how on earth it snuck up on us, but HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY to us! Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all you lovely customers/friends I have met along the way. I couldn’t have done it without your wonderful custom/support, chocolate/coffee/cake offerings and fabulous conversations!!

Thanks also to everyone who has worked with and alongside us either in the shop or in the industry.

The BIGGEST thanks goes to my Mum and Dad who have dedicated so much of their time and unfaltering support through the last 15years as Petalis and before. You’re the best a girl could ever hope for.

I’m going to celebrate by drinking the florist temp cup of tea I put down somewhere in the shop and talk Emrys into getting a good nights sleep!!

Little update for Easter opening and flower orders! We’ll be open next week Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 11-4 for springy bunches, bulbs and planted up lovelies! Then we’re closed till Wednesday 16th April as we’re taking a bit of time off 👩‍👦🐕🌿🌼
