Here are some backstage and afterparty shots from our sell out show “The Dustcart of Delights” at Sheffield University Drama Studio this weekend! The venue was rammed with the loveliest, enthusiastic audience. More seats were added to fit everyone in and we could see the front rows feet sticking under the curtain! 😂
We had a lot of fun with the environmental theme of this show which was recycling, trash and treasure. The stage was our Big Top Tip hosted by the fabulous . The Dustcart (Bin lorry or trash wagon) brought some surprising characters and acts to the Tip. We had acrobatic litter pickers, Nuclear Nightmare mutants on Lyra pole, a handbalancing rubbish tip creature, a metal Angel on silks and a host of other fantastic creative circus creations! We can’t wait to perform this show again and know that lots of people missed out getting tickets that wanted to come. Follow us on Insta and Facebook for news of more shows!
Professional pics and footage of the show coming soon 📸🤩🎪💥.

Check out our living statues! It’s been really fun to perform the pirate statue during freshers week for 🤩 There was a great reaction from the students as some enjoyed interacting with me waving, fist bumps or emoji hand gestures. Other’s thought I was a real statue and got a shock when I moved. Outside the pirate can sq**rt water from a backpack water canon but it got a bit cold and windy for that! The later pics show a few other statues we can offer such as a stone Artemis on a plinth, and silver or gold classic Greek style

Hey lovely people! Things have been a bit quiet on our socials lately but we’re back on and very excited to share with you the following news! 🤩 We’ve been very busy at Quirkus Circus HQ for the past two months checking out venues for our next shows and there’s not one but two shows in the pipeline!! More about that later, as now the big announcement is that we have three LGBTQ+ inclusive aerial circus classes starting next week at the wonderful training space!
The classes will be from 12-1.30pm on Wednesday the 13th, 20th and 27th March until the half term holidays and then we’ll look at organising more after this if they are popular🤞
There are a few spaces left on the 13th March and the following dates and there is a maximum number of 7 per class. The sessions will be £12.50 but if this cost makes the class inaccessible for you then let us know as we are looking at ways of getting some external funding.
Your coach for these sessions is Emily Rose Greenwood (she/ her/ they) who is an experienced aerialist and multi-skilled circus performer. They have worked with a wide variety of adults, young people and children including neurodiverse, people with access needs and amputee groups teaching circus skills and aerial arts.
