Marquee weddings truly are one of a kind and no two are ever the same. Give me a field, garden or a piece of land and along with you and some incredible suppliers, we’ll create a little bit of wedding magic.

A marquee wedding offers freedom, flexibility and finesse. There are a thousand different ways to create something wonderful within a marquee, with endless possibilities for creativity. Often, marquees are held within family homes or private land, making the added nostalgia-factor and layers of meaning connected with the location all the more special. I will always be in full support of any couple wanting a marquee wedding, however, the moving parts and responsibility of a marquee wedding can be overwhelming and difficult to manage, as you’re essentially building the whole world of your wedding from scratch.

Wishing my lovely clients, suppliers and amazing industry community friends a very happy Christmas 🎄

For the first time in a very long time im popping an out of office on (back on the 6th Jan and may not resist a small look at emails inbetween!) to rest and take stock of what has been an incredible year for me both professionally and personally.

We're an industry programmed to look forward (and I know I'll speak for a lot of wedding planners when I say this) but to also be 'one step ahead' of things. To be honest, that's what I know pushes me for success and allows me to be at my greatest. I never want to rest on my laurels and I'm always striving to be the best I can. But, this time of year does prompt me to reflect and just pause to think about the things that have been achieved.

On a professional level I've planned and delivered some incredible weddings and I'm ever grateful for the fact I begin working with clients as complete strangers and we part as friends. The start of a beautiful partnership has begun with the wonderful .chatsworth and I've worked with the most amazing team of suppliers and met new ones along the way. I've solidified an already incredible team who have quite literally pulled out all the stops this year and worked in some really wonderful locations. On a personal level I've married my best friend, gained another best friend in the form of baby Henry and have had the most wonderful gift being his mum. I've invested in myself and my business with a fabulous mentor and my mind is whirring with new ideas and plans yet to be made!

All in all it's been an absolute corker, I'm incredibly excited for 2025 and thank my lucky stars (and the fact I'm sometimes like a bit of a terrier and won't stop until I'm happy and even then I'll keep pushing for more) that this is my job and these are my people 💓

Adored designing this vibrant tablescape last season. An intricate paisley tablecloth laid the foundations for a lovely and colourful set up. Colour certainly isn't to be feared and can create the most beautiful results. Neutral ceramic toned votives which were filled with seasonal delphiniums, dahlias and roses set the scene. Tonal candles and glassware were used as well as monogrammed napkins from the talented with each place setting featuring a neatly tied, velvet ribbon. It felt whimsical yet refined, vibrant yet cohesive. A pleasure to work on!

I've been a little absent over the last few weeks whilst my phones been away getting repaired. Why is it these admin life tasks always take so long!?

I've still been busy away behind the scenes with lots going on in preparation for 2025 and 2026 with some exciting changes on the horizon. I've also been working on a fabulous proposal for a lake district wedding as well as catching up on my 2025 weddings and events. A loving reminder of Chloe and Matt's gorgeous day last summer up in the Lakes 🤍

September really has been a 'blink and you'll miss it's kind of month!! After welcoming my gorgeous little boy at the start of the month I've been spending lots of time at home getting used to having an extra mouth to feed at home! I'm genuinely loving every minute of it but equally excited to begin talking all things weddings and parties again! I've never been one to follow the traditional life trajectories and very much carve my own paths- paths in which little Henry will just become accustomed to!

On Sunday, it's the wonderful .chatsworth annual showcase day. I've had the pleasure of working at Heathy Lea many times over the years and even had the honour of planning this amazing party for the owners, Sal and James a couple of years ago. We've now teamed up so if your marrying here it'll be my wonderful team coordinating your wedding moving forward!

I've also had a lovely afternoon of new client calls with next week being my catch ups with my existing clients for 2025 - if your thinking of working together for 2025 now's your time to enquire!!

The most beautifully, elegant colour palette for Lauren & Simon. The marquee was adorned with rich foliage, pretty white florals, twinkly candles and neutral yet impactful linens and glassware combinations. It created such a classical warm and intimate setup with a harmonious blend of nature and elegant décor.

The gorgeous pairs wedding is on my most recent blog, this pair had the most incredible day celebrating in the wonderful city of York.

Together we planned a city sleek weekend wedding, with an informal pre wedding party on Friday night in the centre of York. The design and vibe of the wedding day was pared back and chic, with lots of greenery and abundant candlelight. Rebecca and Mike themselves radiated classic style, and their images from around York Minster are nothing short of iconic
