🧡LOVED ONES🧡

Some weddings are about more than just the big celebration—they’re about love, family, and making sure the most important people are there to witness it. Rosie and Chris brought their wedding forward so that Chris’s grandad could see them get married. Even as his health took a turn for the worse, the incredible nurses at his care home made sure he didn’t miss a second, calling in so he could watch every moment unfold.

It was a beautiful and emotional day at Chesterfield Registry Office, and capturing those moments of Chris’s grandad seeing them say their vows was something I’ll never forget. I made sure to grab those photos so they’d always have that memory, a piece of him with them forever.

Shortly after, I found out he had sadly passed away. Maybe he had waited just long enough to see his grandson marry the love of his life. And this—this is why I do what I do. The next day, Rosie and Chris sent me the most heartfelt messages, thanking me for capturing those moments. They had already seen the sneak peeks I always send, and knowing those photos brought them some comfort in such a difficult time is everything to me.

Weddings aren’t just about the couple. They’re about the people who love them, who share in their joy, and sometimes, who hold on just a little longer to be a part of it. As much as these moments are bittersweet, I’m grateful my photos can bring some light in a dark time. My heart is so full.

🧡BRINGING IT BACK TO THE STREETS🧡

Aimee and Johnathan are an absolute joy together! When they told me they wanted something a bit different with a street style vibe for their pre wedding shoot (which I highly recommend for anyone wanting an incredible wedding gallery), I knew Sheffield was the perfect choice, especially since it’s where they’ll be tying the knot. From bold abstract murals to the spot where they first met, every location felt meaningful. A & J, Sheffield, you were fabulous 🌙

A pre wedding photoshoot is a great way for us to get to know each other before the big day. It helps shake off any initial nerves about being in front of the camera and gives you a chance to feel more comfortable. For me, it’s also a chance to see how you interact as a couple, so on your wedding day, I can capture you at your most natural and relaxed. Plus, it means you’ll go into your wedding photos with confidence, knowing exactly what to expect!

🧡FIRST LOOK MAGIC🧡

There’s something undeniably powerful about a first look at a wedding. It’s that raw, unscripted moment where emotions run high, and you get to share something truly special before the whirlwind of the day takes over. Whether it’s a tradition you’ve always wanted to include or a modern twist that makes sense for you, a first look is one of those moments that can be whatever you want it to be.

Take Louise and Aimee, for example. They both chose the traditional father first look, and the reactions were priceless. A proud dad seeing his daughter as a bride for the first time – you can’t manufacture that kind of emotion. Then there was Chelsea, who went for a hilarious first look with all her groomsmen. Their reaction? Absolute gold. Hayley had one with her son, and let me tell you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. And Alexe? She gathered her leading ladies and gave them a reveal they’ll never forget. The stunned faces, the joyful tears – it was everything.

But why do we do first looks? Well, here’s a little trivia for you. First looks actually stem from an old tradition where couples weren’t allowed to see each other before the wedding because marriages were often arranged, and families didn’t want the bride or groom to back out! Thankfully, we’ve moved on from that, and now the first look is a way to create an intimate, beautiful moment before the ceremony begins.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who you choose for your first look – or if you even have one at all. Your wedding should be about what feels right for you. Whether you go traditional, shake things up, or skip it altogether, I’m here to capture your day exactly how you envision it. Because with me, it’s all about Your Day, Your Way. So break the traditions, make new ones, and have the wedding that feels like you!

🌙 Why Documentary-Style Wedding Photography Isn’t What You Think

When people hear “documentary wedding photography” they often assume it means completely unposed, hands-off, and capturing the day without any interference. While that’s true to an extent, it doesn’t tell the full story, at least not the way I do it.

I like to think of myself as a storyteller. I’m obsessed with cinema, and storytelling is at the heart of every great film. That’s why, while I do embrace a documentary approach for much of the day, capturing raw, unfiltered moments, I also understand that some moments need a little more direction to truly shine.

I don’t run your wedding day, and I won’t be barking orders at guests or forcing awkward poses. Instead, I take a hands-off approach where it matters, letting moments unfold naturally. But when it comes to your couple portraits, I step in to guide you in a way that still feels like you, just with a cinematic touch. Think of it as the difference between a hidden camera and a beautifully framed movie scene; both capture reality, but one adds that extra bit of magic.

So, while you’ll still get those natural, candid moments throughout the day, I’ll also help craft the kind of images that feel like they belong in a film genuine, emotional, and full of atmosphere. It’s about striking the perfect balance between documentary and storytelling to create a wedding gallery that feels both effortless and intentional.

Your wedding story deserves to be told in the most authentic and visually stunning way possible. And that’s exactly what I’m here for.

🧡N&B🧡

From the moment I met Naomi and Brad for a coffee before their wedding, I knew they were the perfect couple for my style of photography. They wanted their day documented as it happened—no forced moments, no interruptions—just pure, unfiltered emotion. And that’s exactly what unfolded at their beautiful Kenwood Hall wedding in Sheffield.

Brad’s nerves were obvious in the morning, especially about his speech (as it was so eager to tell you about)—but he absolutely nailed it. Surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends, there was a warmth to the day that made it feel incredibly special. Naomi looked absolutely stunning, and the way Brad looked at her said it all—he was completely smitten.

The day ran like a dream. Laughter filled the ceremony, and as the celebrations continued, the emotions only deepened. The most powerful moment came on the dance floor when Naomi, overwhelmed with emotion, shed tears at the end of their first dance. It was raw, real, and utterly beautiful.

Being part of their wedding was an absolute privilege. Naomi and Brad, I wish you both the very best in this new chapter of your lives, and I hope to see you again down the road!

🧡SOOTHING THE SOUL🧡

This shoot was a much needed boost to kickstart my 2025. I love content days such as this and not for the reason most vendors do. This isn’t for the portfolio, and as much as it can show you what I can do with a little more space and time to think, it’s not a wedding day. I don’t want to fool anyone into thinking as such. A wedding day comes with much more added pressure and constant problem solving.

It’s more for me to kick back, work with some awesome vendors that have now become friends. It’s a chance for us all to talk s**t, have fun and basically let our hairs down a little. From the moment Caroline walked in, covered in the most incredible tattoos and rocking that effortlessly cool bridal look, to Rob’s reaction when he first saw her—this day was pure magic.
Smoke grenades, sparklers, and a whole lot of love filled the air at Saw Grinders Union, setting the perfect scene for a wedding that was anything but ordinary. Their day was raw, emotional, and absolutely them—from the intimate vows to the wild celebrations that followed.
Also, can we talk about that double first dance? Caroline pulled off the ultimate surprise by making sure her maid of honour got a special moment too. What a legend.
