Opened in 1999, Quasar Sheffield has entertained well over 1,000,000 players of all ages at its city center venue - a 5000 square foot themed indoor playing arena (the biggest by far in Sheffield!) with lighting effects, smoke, sound effects and music. Quasar is a great physical activity for the young and the young at heart, and unlike bowling, you are active for the whole game not just when it’s

‘your go’! Played indoors & an all weather activity, Quasar can be played either in teams (team de3ath match) or as individuals (free for all), minimum number needed for a game is 2 players and the maximum is 28. Before you play you will get a full briefing including safety rules – then you will be sent into the arena on a mission to have FUN! The idea is to zap other players and destroy their base – all done with a harmless laser gun! You get points for zapping enemies and lose points when you get zapped. Every player will receive a personal scorecard that tells them just how well (or badly!) they did.

UPDATE: We had originally planned to re-open on July 1st as we expected all restrictions to have been lifted by then. Due to the latest news from the government we are still in the position of numbers being restricted to just 6 at a time. We are therefore moving our reopening date to 1st August (by which time we hope to be fully operational). All bookings for the beginning of July are in the process of being notified via email.

Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Important information regarding Quasar Sheffield:

As of today the 18th March and under the UK government’s advice regarding businesses operating within the entertainment/hospitality category, we have made the tough but sensible decision to close our site for the time being. Not an easy call for a small business such as ours but we feel that it is in the best interest of our customers and staff as this present time.

We are in the process of contacting all customers that have a booking within the next 4 weeks.

Although our phone line will not be manned at this time we shall continue to check our social media daily and enquires can still be made via email to [email protected]

Updates to future opening times will be posted here on our page and through social media advertising.

We wish you all the best of health and send our best wishes to every other small business and those operating in the hospitality and entertainments industry at this trying time.

Just taking a moment to inform our customers that at present we are open and business continues normally. We have implemented a few changes to help protect our staff and visitors from the ongoing virus situation.
As of the weekend just gone we have been disinfecting all our guns between every different group that has played and shall continue to do this for the foreseeable future (please note that this could add an extra 5 minutes onto your visit time).Hand sanitizer is available on our front desk for customer use. We are only accepting card/contactless payments for the time being.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask.
Any changes to business hours will be posted here on social media and if this effects anyone who has pre-booked with us we shall endeavour to let them know of any potential disruptions that could effect their booking as soon as possible.
