With the coming Autumn equinox soon approaching, the lovely Isla Macleod is holding a day of ceremony, crafting, feasting and gratitude.

Here are some words from her about the day 🙏

Come with your harvest and participate in this day of ceremony as we offer up our gratitude and weave together a feast of celebration this Mabon. Including a medicine walk, sacred crafting, medicine making with seasonal plants, a fire ritual, altar weaving and dancing under the trees!

Autumn Equinox marks the threshold into Autumn and the waning phase of the year, when we are gathering the fruits of our harvest and preparing the way for Winter. Within the harvest are the seeds we will carry with us into the Dreaming phase of the year, so it is a time to reflect on our journey and consider what we want to let go of that no longer serves us, and begin to clarify what we hope to grow and create in our nest growth cycle.

With the balance of light and dark at the Equinox, we are invited to find the middle way between our inner and outer lives. After the expansive and active Summer season, we need to pause to take stock, begin to draw our energy inwards and connect with our inner strength and wisdom.

Lighting the Mabon fire, there will be an opportunity to reflect on your harvest as we make a hearty soup for lunch, seasonal medicines and craft ritual totems to celebrate all the ways you have grown. With a fire ritual, you will be invited to release what no longer serves you to make space for the new seeds you intend to sow next Spring.

Guiding by the elements of fire and water, we will culminate in a ceremony to lift up a prayer of gratitude and offer up a feast for Life!

All held within the beautiful woodland at The Warren, near Bruton.

Our newest space to our woodland is finally finished!!!

The kitchen cabin is fully stocked to ensure that our visitor can cook up a feast. Be it for a gathering of friends and family or a crafted workshop or retreat, this unique structure has to seen and used to be appreciated.

Oh the rain!

It has been such a relief seeing the yellow star flowers emerge in our woodland. They are the first that bloom for us.

It has been such a wet year for us. The wettest in the 8yrs we have been dwelling here. It has been hard to believe that it will ever end!!!

We have sadly lots quite a number of trees in the many storms we've had.

So... A blue sky day to appretiate these little woodland beauties lighting up our paths fills the soggy parts of our souls.

And..... Then it absolutly chucks it down with a baseline of heavy thunder.

I'm sure there is some ironic wisdom in there somewhere.
