Just thought I would do a little update to let you know that although we don’t post to this account very often we have been very busy all year with our cafe (TheStationCafeCranmore)and lots of private events. Here are just a few photos from this year. 🫶🏽

Another recent private event. This time it was packaged to take away. A finger buffet including mixed finger sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls, grapes, olives, mini homemade scones, cream and strawberries and a variety of homemade mini cakes. Very reasonably priced. Contact us with any enquiries.

Part of our fantastic team at nudefest this week! We are so lucky to have such wonderful hard working people working with us. We couldn’t do it without them. 5 days down. 2 days to go!

We are up and running at nudefest! We will be here all week providing our customers with lots of yummy food. Keep an eye out for this special event on Friday. A take away cream tea! Homemade scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam. Just £6 per person. And you get a free tea or coffee with it too!

It’s that time of year! We will be at from Monday 3rd July for a week serving up lots of our street food as well as some new items! We shall also be having our catering friends offering vegan and pizza’s. Keep an eye on our social media for updates and details of some of our special catering events throughout the week!

Greek night this month is Friday 14th April. We have a semi set menu for £22pp. You can bring your own bottle - we don’t charge corkage.

There will be Tzatziki, Hummus, Htipiti, Greek salad, Mediterranean couscous, Agean slaw, paprika & oregano chips, authentic warm pitta bread. Then a choice of three of the following dishes: yemista - baked peppers stuffed with rice, griddled halloumi with a honey and balsamic dressing, karotokeftedes, pastichio, spetsofai - baked Greek sausage and peppers in a tomato sauce and chicken souvlaki - seasoned chicken on sticks.

We have limited tables so booking is essential. Please message or email us with your request.

Don’t worry if you miss it this month we will do it all again next month! Date to be confirmed!

We are looking for a motivated and friendly chef to join our team at The Station Cafe at the heritage railway in Cranmore, Shepton Mallet.

The majority of the work is situated in the cafe, some work is undertaken on the train as we provide dining experiences in the carriages.

Most of our food is homemade and freshly produced in the kitchen. The hours are generally 08:30 to 16:30 but on train dining experience days we finish by about 18:00. The kitchen team is team of 3 plus a wider catering team (including waiters) of about 10.

The cafe is open Wednesdays to Sundays

We are a very hard working team but we also get on very well, so you will be working in a really great environment.

Job Types: Zero hours contract

Salary: £10.50-£15.00 per hour

Our most recent function .museum A lovely large space to hire. We didn’t even know it was there! We did a buffet which included finger sandwiches, sausage rolls and a variety of little cakes and scones. All home made! We also catered for gluten free and kiddies. Contact us for a quote :-)

We are open throughout November even though the Station is not running trains. Come and have your lunch break with us. Or fancy something to takeaway? All our food is takeaway-able. Come say hi 👋🏽

Historically the cafe has been closed for the whole of November but now we have our little paws on it we are keeping it open right through to Christmas!! Usual opening hours Wednesdays to Sundays 09:30 - 16:30. See you there!

Many of you may not realise but we also run the catering for the dining experiences on trains for the Here is what we did on Wednesday for the Sparkling Afternoon Tea dining experience! It’s a great way to celebrate a special day with a loved one or just to treat yourself! You can book directly with the East Somerset Railway.
