I know it sounds cheesy.. But..when you love what you do it really doesn’t feel like work. We had the pleasure of cooking for a wonderful family over the festive period and although we were working they made us feel like a part of their celebrations. Situated in a stunning barn conversion, great open kitchen space with a roaring log fire. Last Christmas by Wham! was sung plenty of times throughout the 3 day holiday by myself, whilst I would have liked to have been complimented on my singing I know our food and hospitality was the star of the show and we’re forever grateful for that

We always feel truly grateful for the opportunity to host our little dinners and dining experiences, and blessed to be able to continue doing what we love. Fortunately we have had the privilege of cooking for a group of friends for the 3rd Christmas in a row and it has now become the start to our Christmas… 🎄

Always a pleasure cooking spectacular views overlooking cheddar and the surrounding villages - Peruvian chocolate. Chocolate torte, chocolate cremux, clementine caramel in the centre, peanut brittle, malted milk and caramel ice cream to finish the night off 🤌🏼

Love this Thyme of year, everything is in full swing, hedgerows becoming lush and alive, British seafood is plentiful and local farmers rearing wonderful meat for us to enjoy. Grilled asparagus, Portland crab, Blackdown ham and a super zesty hollandaise & slow cooked lamb belly from a farm in Dorset, picked down with some black garlic, aged balsamic and the roasting juices from the belly, encased in a wild garlic hot water pastry made with the lamb fat. These little dumpling of joy are a wonderful accompaniment to our lamb rump dish. Spring has Sprung. Have a great Sunday fellow foodies
Been a while since venturing up the windy Majorcan hill top pass to world renowned Es Verger, maybe 12 years. But the memories of that place have stayed with me for years, beautiful lamb and suckling pig slow cooked over their wood fired oven, no frills just bloody good confident cooking, large glass of ice cold Albariño. If you ever get the chance and want something off the beaten track with the most spectacular views 30 minutes from Palma, try in Alaró. I’ll be thinking about this place for another 12 years and so will my boys 🤌🏼
Been a great start to the new year although we’re 3 months in already, mental I know. On the weekend we cooked for some returning guests, it’s almost like we’re a part of the celebration, whether birthday, weddings or just a bloody good knees up, we love seeing our guest enjoy our food and service making that evening extra memorable with what we love to do &thyme

“Sorry it’s taken me until now to send you this email but I really wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you both for making Mum’s 80th birthday something to remember.
I really wanted her to feel as though it was a party, with lots of fun and laughter as well as fab food and you guys really made the evening so special by how beautiful the table looked, the delicious food you cooked and how you presented it to us all. Can’t tell you how happy you made me let alone my Mum and Dad who were buzzing when they left and haven’t stopped talking about it since.
…you guys are ‘smooth operators’… 😊 … I had a croaky voice the next day from all the singing!!
I hope that we can book you again one day soon and when you get your restaurant we will definitely be there supporting you. “
