A Festive Message from Castleton at Christmas
Grotto Closed Today
This year, Light Up Castleton has brought back the magic and tradition of our beloved village, rekindling the charm that has made Castleton a cherished festive destination for generations. We’ve worked together as a community to ensure families can create new, heartwarming memories—moments to treasure and pass down to children and grandchildren as part of their own Christmas stories.
Unfortunately, the extreme weather we’ve faced this year has meant we’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel Santa’s Grotto today. Despite putting on a truly magical display, it simply isn’t safe to open, even with the grotto beautifully set up with a marquee entrance.
We’re incredibly proud of the very best Santa and Mrs. Claus, who have created magical and unforgettable experiences for every child they’ve welcomed this year. Their warmth, charm, and festive spirit have brought so much joy to families, and we are thrilled to announce that they will be returning to Castleton next Christmas!
Looking ahead, we are making plans for a permanent, weather-proof grotto to ensure that the magic of meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus will continue, no matter the conditions.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to making Castleton’s festive celebrations so special this year. The lights are truly magical, and every business and volunteer has done an incredible job to bring our village to life.
Castleton remains open, and our twinkling Christmas lights are shining bright! Come and enjoy the festive atmosphere and experience the traditional charm that makes Castleton so special.
From all of us in Castleton, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here’s to building on this year’s successes and making 2025 even more magical!
