If you haven't heard, Shipston Proms is approaching kick-off on Fri 21st June this year for its 2 week music festival. So much going on! If you haven't seen a programme, check out shipstonproms.org.
At the hall, it's the The Magnificent Six!
Ok, that's a bit over-the-top and obviously biased, but we love to see the hall buzzing with a fabulous variety of music. Here's highlighting the events the Proms have booked into the hall.
Tickets for some of these will hopefully still be available at the Richard Harvey Collection in town (a couple are on-the-night, so just come-on-down), or follow links to Eventbrite online booking from shipstonproms.org. Or, take a chance on the night!
Fri 21st June: The Dropouts supported by Thom Kirkpatrick. Thom is a very talented and fascinating one man band with all the looping tricks! The Dropouts shot the lights out on the final night last year and we're just hoping the hall's roof doesn't blow off!
Sat 22nd June: Baby Jools & the Jazzaholics. A chance for something a bit more chilled after the night before. Relax over a glass of wine or so and enjoy these guys fabulous musicianship.
Fri 28th June: Songs from The Shows. Title speaks for itself and it's a yearly classic! £10 on the door for this one - come along, singalong, you won't be disappointed!
Sat 29th June: Cotswold Choir, who've jumped in to replace a late cancellation in the programme. But don't let that worry you - these guys are also a firm favourite with Proms fans, singing a wonderful variety of songs!
Tues 2nd July: Mrs. Porter's Chamberpot Pourri. Another yearly classic! £10 on the door. Don't let the title put you off! It means a fabulous array of talent!
Fri 5th July: Opera Night. Opera not your thing? Perhaps think again - just a joy to behold!
