Engagement Season is a thing & in full swing!!

“Will you marry me?”, still seems to be the most popular proposal in our recent couples. We love hearing abut your proposals, whether you went down on bended knee on Christmas Eve like a couple who visited on our recent Open Day. Perhaps you used the words from J.R.R.Tolkien in Lord Of The Rings who said, “I would rather spend one lifetime with you-than face all the ages of this world without you.” Or maybe you took inspiration from Elizabeth Barrett Browning, whose famous quote has inspired proposals around the world with the words, “I love you not only for who you are but for what I am when I am with you!”

Our recent favourites included how the couple’s pet had a role in the proposal and will have a role being ring bearer on the big day! There was the proposal from scary heights on a ski lift and a surprise family picnic with your children. Always popular is recreating your first date, writing it in the sand and if you’re really pushing the boat out, maybe you took a lifetime trip to Central Park in NYC!!

However you asked the question and wherever you asked, only matters to you, so a huge congratulations from all of us here at BG who have recently made this exciting decision for your future!!

The magical bubble of becoming engaged can also be a little daunting or maybe you just haven’t found your forever venue, start the new year with a visit to our beautiful privately owned venue, home to the same family since 1943 and let our experienced Event’s Team guide you through the planning journey.

Full of heritage, romantic backdrops, a bespoke reception barn and a restored 16th century thatch barn to say your vows. Gardens bursting with colour, mouth watering menu and cocktail choices, occasionally some snow, maybe a roaming Shetland pony and always so much heart in everything we create for you.

You will get a real sense of what we can offer to help turn your dream wedding day into a reality within the Cotswold stone walls of our home.

On the day you will see how some of our talented suppliers inspire you and also meet and hear a couple of our varied musical suppliers. Together they will fill your hearts and minds with excitement for your forthcoming marriage!
