What a day! When Adam and Hannah got hitched!!
It was the most special day, full of magic, joy,love and happiness.
Adam and Hannah created the most relaxed, fun filled day, I'm so proud of them, my heart is full.
The only thing that could have made it better was to have Dad there. We chose happiness on the day, but today I miss him and know he'd of loved the day and been so proud of his grandson.
As Adam and Hannah fly off on their honeymoon adventure in California I'm a proud mama, full of love and emotion 🤍

Houseplants, what's the best way to water them?
RAINWATER is best, and when it's warm and wet like today, pop them in a sheltered spot outside. They will love it!!
For when you can't let them savour the rain:
🌿 A slow tap is best for medium and large plants. Stand your plant in the sink, pop the tap on a low setting and leave it for 15/25 mins. This will allow the rootball of the plant to have a good soak and any excess will go down the plug hole! Do this every two to three weeks.
🌿 Plants that don't want to be drenched and prefer little and often watering, use a mister. Give them a few good blasts regularly. Your other plants will enjoy a mist in between watering too!
🌿 Plants dried out? Use a bowl of water and leave the plant for a few hours to absorb the water. If it's super dry, give it a little water from the top first, it'll make it easier for the soil to absorb more water.
And remember it's easier to rescue a drier plant than a water logged one!

Peony season is coming!
It is still early, so I'm sticking to my favourite and reliable variety, Coral Charm.
More varieties will follow, and this is the last call for Shropshire grown tulips, last batch will arrive tomorrow, early afternoon! Grab 'em while you can, I'll miss you tulips, you've kept us company and bought us cheer for the last few months.

Seasonality is super important to me, and that's reflected visually and emotionally in my work. The shop definitely has a different identity depending on the time of year, it works with nature, our moods and requirements to feel connected to our homes.
So what will you find behind the doors?
First thing, someone who wants to help you, talk to you, help you to have a good shopping day!
You'll find both fresh and faux flowers and foliage. You can order bouquets on our website or pop in and choose your blooms yourself!
We have a fabulous range of pots and vases, ceramic, glass and metal. I spend a lot of time finding you the best!
From April to November we go all green, and have a fantastic array of houseplants, and as a horticulturalist I can advise you what will work in your space.
Seasonal workshops and masterclasses we love, and you'll find what's happening on our website.
We enjoy creating flowers for intimate weddings, for those that want to keep it simple and elegant
And finally, we are here to help you if you're saying goodbye to a loved one. We create stunning, full casket sprays that are bespoke you.

Let's not go with the flow!
Instagram seems full of 'thank goodness January is done', I don't feel the same, and this is why...
I like January, I feel it's a month to acceptably be slower! Take things a little easier, and have the head space to think without being on the rollercoaster of life.
Ive unashamedly had my PJ's on by 5pm, and been in bed by 10pm. I've not done the new me thing, so no pressure there, I fact I've eaten more this month than ever!!
So thank you January for the rest, and hello February, the month all the ideas that have come to me during my restful days need putting into action. There's plenty to fill the month, but I'm carrying on with the PJ thing!!

We had the most perfect time, we somehow managed to dodge the rain to create some fabulous memories.
It was so special to spend quality time with my boys, not rush anywhere and just do what we all enjoyed!
We found out the cottage we booked belonged to Gordon Ramsey, the cook books should have given it away!
Memories banked, and inspired to do it again, where to go next year is the question?!

Sometimes my heart sings!
I had a fabulous email today, from a lady to visits florists all over the uk as part of her job. And in her own words....
"I have visited literally hundreds of shops and Botanique is right up there as one of the most beautiful shops in the UK. Honestly, I came away feeling inspired to start up in business again!! "
How lovely is that, made me feel all lovely and warm, when in actual fact I've been frozen all day!!

I'm so fabulously proud today...
My daughter, Millie has her Masters!
And the reason I'm such a proud mama bear?
Millie has climbed and conquered many mountains to get to this point.
She as born with Cerebral Palsy, a piece of my placenta broke away and lodged itself on the right hand side of her brain, causing what's known as a left Hemiplegia.
When she was young this caused many physical problems, and we spent many hours on a physio ball, learning balance, training her body all the milestones babies usually achieve alone.
She didn't walk until she was nearly two, and had a big operation on both legs when she was in middle school.
As an added bonus she's dyslexic too, so taught herself many coping strategies through school. Every strategy she found herself, never giving up, sometimes hugely frustrated as an intelligent person at not being able to get onto paper what was in her brain.
But she never gave up, always believed she could, it just might take more effect and determination.
I thought when she got her degree I was as proud as I'll ever be, but that's now be superseded, and not only am I super proud of her masters, I'm beyond proud of who she is as a person.
And it proves, we can all be what we want to be, as long as we don't give up, believe in ourselves and power through the bumps in the road.
