Weddings are expensive and people want to get the best deal. That’s ok.

What’s not ok, is pitching suppliers against each other. A supplier’s price is a very personal thing, based on a lot of factors that will differ from one supplier to another.

There are a range of suppliers out there who can cater for a range of different budgets, so if getting the lowest price is the most important outcome for you, then you know who to choose 🤷🏼‍♀️

Don’t use someone else’s low price as leverage to get more money off someone else.

There are other ways to negotiate that cause less harm to the industry. And sometimes you just have to accept that what you want, is out of your budget, and find an alternative.

The Un-Wedding Shows A/W 2023 are done and it’s been… ALL of the emotions, with a few new ones thrown in that we didn’t even know existed 🤪

Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported our events this year, whether you showcased, bought a ticket or went on to book our suppliers 🙏

This might be an unpopular opinion or it might sound harsh but it’s something that wedding business owners come up against, day in, day out.

No one can tell you how much you should spend on any one part of your wedding. It’s a very personal thing based on choice and circumstance.

But the age old narrative that anything to do with weddings is a rip off, or too expensive, needs to stop.

There are so many things that a business owner needs to cover/consider when they set their prices. This can vary greatly from business to business, even if you gather quotes.

Small business owners work hard on their businesses all year round, not always knowing if there will be any profit at the end of it. And wanting to make a profit shouldn’t be frowned upon otherwise you are kind of asking people to work for free 😞

Some things might be out of your budget and that’s ok, but one person’s ‘too expensive’ is someone else’s ‘blood sweat and tears’.
