NERDY will be closing its doors on Sunday the 18th of May, marking the end of an era. Nerdy has been a pillar of the q***r community in Shrewsbury for as long as it has existed, and DNDK wouldn't be here without it.

To support the business and staff after their closure, all the proceeds from our final show at Nerdy will go directly to the venue.

Tickets go on sale 5pm tomorrow. Mark your calendars.

Kinda jarring straight after opening newbie applications but I promise everything is sooooo mentally healthy over here. It's important to take time to grieve and allow yourself breathing room.
In November-December 2024 I lost three family members and a pet. As important as this community is to me, you can't pour from an empty glass. Truthfully I've been scared to take a break and that people would see that I wasn't coping, or that I was incapable, or that I had "lost" because I'm not able to do everything alone.
I hope to prove that the world won't fall apart because of a two month break.

SURPRISE! Well, not to the people who came to our January show. We are opening our doors to drag beginners and welcoming applications from YOU 🫵, to help local performers kick start their cabaret performance journey!

"I'd love to do drag but I've got NO idea how to start"
Then drop us a line! Complete the application in our linktree and join the newcomers group who will be learning and growing together in a supportive and encouraging group, with the opportunity to perform live at a paid gig in April!

The support offered will be totally tailored to your needs but could contain things like:
- naming your act
- creating a costume
- learning makeup basics
- wig styling
- sewing basics
- choosing and creating backing tracks
- group rehearsal sessions
- stage presence coaching
- and a group outing to get professional quality headshots for promotional material!

This opportunity is FREE, but there may be costs associated with hiring a rehearsal space or purchasing costumes.
Applicants must be 18+ on the 13th of April 2025.
In-person meetups will likely take place in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, at mutually agreed dates.
This opportunity is not just for drag performers, but will have a drag focus as the organisers are drag performers.

WHAT A TREAT WE HAVE FOR YOU!
With a STACKED cast, DNDK is thrilled to bring you a Nativity FUNDRAISER, with all the proceeds going to 's Gaza crisis appeal.
A 16+ event at on Sunday the 15th of December, doors at 7pm, show begins at 7:30, with special Christmas merch, sing-alongs, and the largest cast we've ever had, DNDK promises this is a show you won't forget!
