We are pleased to welcome The East Midlands Garrison to Shrewsbury Comic Con. They are a non-profit Star Wars costuming garrison who raise money for their chosen charity PASIC - Cancer support for children and young people. They will be collecting donations throughout the day and will also be running the cosplay competition.

Brian is the original sculptor of Darth Vader's helmet and mask, the stormtrooper armour and CZ-3. Well respected in his industry, Brian has worked on over 70 movies, including Alien, Indiana Jones, The Dark Crystal, Willow, James Bond, Harry Potter, Tomb Raider and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guest Announcement:

Mike Perkins - Award winning Marvel and DC comic book illustrator

Mike will have a table in the vendor's room and will also take part in a Q&A panel.

Full bio: Mike Perkins is a comic book illustrator having worked on Captain America, Thor and Spider-Man. After wrapping up the 31 issue adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand he transitioned into illustrating Astonishing X-Men and has since successfully re-launched Deathlok, Carnage and Iron Fist . He has recently moved to DC comics where he has depicted the adventures of the Green Lanterns, collaborated with Greg Rucka on Lois Lane and, most recently, launched The Swamp Thing with Ram V. His new project will be out in time for this convention! He has been nominated numerous times for Eisner and Harvey Awards and, as well as winning the Eagle Award, counts being on the New York Times Bestseller list and being exhibited in Munich, London and Paris amongst his career achievements.
