So yesterday the utterly gorgeous Soph and PJ got married at The Shropshire, in Telford.

I was supposed to be doing this wedding, I was aiming to spend the day sorting out my accounts and walking the dog. But a photographer friend of mine phoned and asked if I was free to take the wedding over from him as his dad is terminally ill and doesn’t have long to live, and is based in Scotland.

I of course said yes, and put my batteries on charge and gave the bride a phone to introduce myself.

I shot the wedding and had a thoroughly amazing day with Soph and PJ and their family and friends. It was just a smallish wedding but it was great fun and a lovely atmosphere and Soph and PJ were a delight to be around, along with their kids and their families.

I had just the best day, and it was far, far, FAR better than trying to sort out my accounts…

Helen and Pete got married on Saturday and what a day it was! I went to school with Helen, and it was just the loveliest thing to see her marry such a great guy (and Forest fan!) as Pete - when you see two people who clearly are meant to be for each other, it’s always wonderful and life affirming.

Finally hitting the grid today are the sneak peeks from Tuesday’s amazing day at with Mary and Bill.

And what a day it was - perfectly perfect in every way. This pair wanted natural wedding photography but also wanted to play with a couple of set pieces of photographs too. Currently editing Helen and Martin’s wedding. Shot just a couple of weeks ago over at the Hawkesyard Estate in Staffordshire. What a fabulous day for wedding photography - perfect weather, gorgeous venue and wonderful people - the magic three coming together to be bigger than the sum of all their parts!

I’ve been so lucky in my career to have visited some utterly brilliant venues and I’m so looking forward to the end of 2025 and even more so for 2026…

Three sneak peeks from Alice and Dan’s gorgeous day at yesterday.

Their wedding booking was a referral from a wedding I shot in 2021, and there was a couple there at the same stage of their relationship as Alice and Dan were when I shot Sophie and Sam at The Mill Barns 4 years ago. So with a bit of luck in 2029 I’ll be shooting another wedding!

Oh the life of a Shropshire Wedding Photographer is one that always looks to the future! But to be fair, I love it; in a world filled with so much…stuff…people’s little happinesses are a source of great comfort that in the end, life goes on, and everything will be all right.

Yet another 5***** review hit this morning! I’m so lucky to have such ace couples - they are all just the best!

My job is to make a couple’s day go as easily and stress free as possible - and I put a lot of work into making that happen.
