Aside from our family and friends, the people who have used our floristry service are the ones who know us best. We’ve chatted over the phone, collaborated on details and ideas, and exchanged numerous emails and WhatsApp messages. Together, we’ve shared laughter, curiosity, and tackled floral challenges. Knowing we’ve met their expectations and beyond means the world to us, so our heartfelt gratitude always goes to our couples for trusting our experience, knowledge and flair with their wedding flowers.

4 things to consider when choosing a bridal bouquet?

Size and comfort: The bouquet should be comfortable to hold and complement your frame and wedding dress.

Season: Seasonal flowers are often fresh and easily available, and they can be more affordable.

Colour palette: Consider the colour palette of the other details of the wedding such as the bridesmaid dresses and stationery.

Budget: Decide how much you want to spend on flowers before visiting a florist. You can ask for a price list to see what you can afford.

Urns filled with flowers bring an elegant and beautiful touch to a wedding venue. The raised design of the container enhances the display, creating a dramatic and eye-catching focal point in areas of the venue. You could position these flower displays on tables, mantles, plinths or at the bottom of Welcome signs or table plans.

Oh hey there! It’s us! If you were hoping for your wedding florists to show up looking fresh and not like they’ve been roughing it in the wilderness, you might be disappointed! 😂 We often see these amazing pictures of florists in beautiful flowy dresses, perfectly styled hair, and flawless makeup, and we can’t help but wonder how they do it. Seriously, spill the secrets! More often than not, we look a bit worn out, like we’ve been through a gruelling workout that took place in a forest. But that’s because we’ve been working hard on your wedding flowers, starting early and putting in the effort to make everything perfect. This is what dedication and attention to detail looks like.

Big thanks to Tracy for sharing this photo from Saturday. It was so thoughtful of you to capture that moment! We truly appreciate our amazing customers. X.

There’s nothing quite like feedback from couples. It’s like doing well in an exam, scoring a goal, crossing the finish line of a race - it’s simple a euphoric feeling of accomplishment.

Sometimes we can be a bit dramatic - but only ever in a floral senses! When planning for your wedding flowers we’d suggest concentrating your budget on fewer large scale pieces as opposed to many small scale. Why? Simply the impact is greater. If your wanting to create an opulent feel as opposed to whimsical and demure the this would be our best advise.

There is something truly dreamy about a freestanding asymmetrical arch that has been crafted with breathtakingly beautiful fresh flowers and foliage. It looks organic in design but each flower is carefully selected and arranged, adding its own distinct touch of beauty to the overall design. Arches create impact, a focal point and are perfect as ceremony backdrops or to frame an entrance!

Here comes the bride!

Choosing flowers and their colours for your wedding floral arrangements is key to the overall experience of your big day. There are several factors to consider in order to create stunning arrangements that perfectly complements the overall aesthetic of the event. The first consideration should be the colour scheme of the wedding, as the flowers should harmonise or contrast with the chosen shades. Additionally, the season during which the wedding will take place plays a crucial role, as it determines the availability of certain flowers. The couple’s personal preferences and style should also be taken into account, ensuring that the bouquet reflects their taste and vision for the special day. Your wedding florist will provide expertise and guidance - so don’t let this overwhelm you.

If you didn’t get to come along to yesterday and meet us then let’s do a reintroduction!

We are Fran and Sarah, known as Big Little Things.

From a conversation over coffee back in 2010, Big Little Things has evolved into what you see today. We’ve honed our craft and are experienced florists. We pour our hearts into making each celebration the best it can be with our flowers, skill and friendship.

Our mantra is “the little details are a big deal”. We truly believe that it’s the small touches that can make a big impact on any event. That’s why we pay close attention to the smallest of details when it comes to our floral designs. Whether your style is grand and bold or delicate and pretty, we have an eye for detail and creative flair to bring your vision to reality.

Fran is a keen hill walker and does impressive things like run 80k in the middle of the night. Whereas I’ll probably have been watching The Traitors 🤣.

Whether you’re planning a low-key ceremony or something more extravagant, we will help you navigate the world of wedding flowers and find what’s perfect for you. We can emulate all kinds of styles and are multi disciplined and can bring differentiation to your wedding flowers.
