Big Little Things

Big Little Things - Wedding Florist | Funeral Flowers | Floristry Workshops
- Shropshire and beyond We like to be a bit different and are more of an unconventional flower shop!

In our shop you will find a carefully chosen collection of gifts, accessories, decorative homeware, cards, personalised presents and both fresh and artificial flowers. We have fresh flowers in the shop from Thursday which we make into ready made small posies and our popular jam jars. We only make up a certain amount each week so we strongly advise you to order to avoid disappointment. We do not ho

ld large volumes of flowers because we like to order little and often to ensure the freshness and quality of the flowers are at their best for our customers. We can only make up larger bouquets, specific arrangements or large quantities of jam jars/ posies if ordered in advance either by ordering in the shop the previous week or by email to [email protected].

We’ve been thinking a lot about winter weddings, and while they might not be as appealing as the warmer months, there are heaps of reasons to choose a winter date. When it comes to wedding flowers, there is the option to beautifully incorporate winter foliage like spruce and pine to create a textured and fragrant feel. Bridal favourite Eucalyptus is more readily available in the winter months too! Our lovely couple here wanted feathers to be included to enhance the countryside look. This combination adds a touch of nature and elegance, making the celebration truly reflecting of the couples love for the outdoors.

The energy and the vibe of this wedding was perfection! This wedding at was special in many ways, one of which was the use of entirely dried flower displays. From the flower crown to the pedestal arrangements, vibrant and colorful dried florals were featured throughout.

Who can resist the allure of colour? With so many options available, making a choice can be confusing. Here are 3 points to consider when choosing colour combinations for your wedding day flowers:

Seasonality: Bright colours can work well in any season, but it’s important to consider what’s in bloom during that time. Your florist can guide you on the best options. Just be aware that off-season flowers can come with a significant price tag.

Affordability: Try to limit your selection to around five types of flowers and colours. While a burst of colour is stunning, having too many different varieties can increase your overall costs.

Coordinate: Take into account the colour of the bridesmaid dresses and find a way to complement that hue in your floral arrangements.

Side note - this beautiful summer wedding took place in the back garden of the family home. It was super cosy, colourful and comfortable. Beautiful, isn’t it?

♥️ 🖤
Don’t ever be afraid of being bold.
A beautifully elegant yet unconventional and dramatic dark colour palette compared to more traditional wedding colours. It showcases deep, luxurious shades such as black, red, and burgundy, creating a captivating gothic atmosphere. We loved it!

We received a lovely review from one of our recent couples this morning! See below 👇🏻

“Working with the Big Little Things team was one of the best decisions we made during the planning of our wedding. Not only were the bouquets absolutely incredible, but (possibly as importantly for us) the planning and the run up was not only easy but also super enjoyable!

Fran and Sarah made everything so easy from start to finish as we were finalising what we’d like for the day. They went above and beyond to accommodate details around sourcing the right colours and specific blooms, crafting ideas that reflected our tastes but also took into account guidance around practicalities, and suggesting combinations we’d never have known about without their expertise. Whenever we had a question or request, they handled it with complete professionalism, but also warmth and obvious passion for what they do.

If you’re still looking for a florist to work with for your wedding, book Fran and Sarah! Seeing them with my bridal and bridesmaids bouquets the morning of my wedding was an absolute highlight. Fran, Sarah, thank you so much.”

Thank you Rose and Neil!

Could we be the florist for your wedding day? It all begins with an email or a DM, followed by a phone call, meeting or sometimes a Zoom meeting - whichever works for you! After that, we focus on bringing your floral vision to life. If you don’t have a clear idea yet, that’s perfectly fine; we’re here to help you explore options! You might have mood boards and Pinterest inspirations that depict your thoughts, or you could be somewhere in between. No matter where you are in the process, we adore talking about flowers, floral design, brainstorming ideas, and ultimately working to create the wedding flowers you’ve always dreamed of.
