Big Little Things

Big Little Things - Wedding Florist | Funeral Flowers | Floristry Workshops
- Shropshire and beyond We like to be a bit different and are more of an unconventional flower shop!

In our shop you will find a carefully chosen collection of gifts, accessories, decorative homeware, cards, personalised presents and both fresh and artificial flowers. We have fresh flowers in the shop from Thursday which we make into ready made small posies and our popular jam jars. We only make up a certain amount each week so we strongly advise you to order to avoid disappointment. We do not ho

ld large volumes of flowers because we like to order little and often to ensure the freshness and quality of the flowers are at their best for our customers. We can only make up larger bouquets, specific arrangements or large quantities of jam jars/ posies if ordered in advance either by ordering in the shop the previous week or by email to [email protected].

Why Large Floral Installations—Like Dressed Staircases—Are a Great Idea

🌺 Instant Impact
Large floral displays act as visual anchors that elevate the overall decor. A staircase dressed in abundant blooms becomes an Instagram-worthy centerpiece.

🌺 Creates Memorable Photos
The staircase often serves as a backdrop for key moments — entrances, exits, and portraits. A lavish floral setup ensures every photo is picture-perfect.

🌺 Transforms the Venue
Oversized arrangements can soften hard architectural lines, add colour and texture, and turn even the most minimal space into a romantic oasis.

🌺 Maximises a Key Area
Staircases are natural transitions between spaces. By decorating them generously, you’re enhancing a high-traffic zone guests are guaranteed to notice and remember.

🌺 Adds Drama and Romance
A staircase draped in flowers feels regal and storybook-like. It’s one of those moments where floral design becomes art.

It’s us – the duo behind the blooms and this page!

We thought it was time for a little reintroduction, especially if you’re new around here (hi!) or have been following our journey from the early days.

We’re Fran & Sarah — acquaintances turned friends, turned business partners — and the hands (and hearts) behind Big Little Things Florist.

What started in 2010 as an idea over coffee has since blossomed into a business we’re incredibly proud of. We now create flowers for around 50 weddings a year – a pace that lets us give each couple our full attention, from the first consultation to the last vase going back on our shelves. We believe the little details are a big deal – and we mean it. Every wedding is personal, and we pour everything we’ve got into making yours feel completely “you.”

Our days start early (hello, 4am!) and the behind-the-scenes hustle is very real — but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Every bouquet, buttonhole, and bloom is crafted with care, creativity, and a deep love for what we do.

Fran can create anything – honestly, we’re not sure where it comes from, but it’s a talent that never stops surprising us. Sarah can reimagine everything – if you’ve seen something you love, she’ll find a way to make it even more special.

We’re hands-on, a little over-familiar, and let’s be honest... we’ll probably hug you. Whether you’re dreaming of something wildly romantic or quietly elegant, we’re here to bring your vision to life with creativity, care, and a whole lot of heart.

Fran runs ultra marathons. Sarah watches The Traitors. Together? We’re a flower obsessed team who pour our energy into every design we create.

Thanks for being here – we’ve a season of beautiful “I do”s coming up — can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on!

This grounded arch at Davenport House framed Ellie & Alex in the most romantic way—soft, natural, and effortlessly elegant. Filled with cottage garden flowers to create a flower meadow, with its low profile, it let the beauty of the moment shine through without blocking the view, creating a cosy, connected feel for everyone there. The perfect blend of intimacy and style.

Save this for your ceremony inspiration—especially if you’re wanting something with versatile styling. Grounded arches offer endless possibilities, from lush florals to minimal greenery, and can be tailored in shape, size, and texture to suit any setting or aesthetic.

is always a good idea. Tonisha, Gareth and their family were a delight to work alongside. None of us expected the snowfall, but it made everything all the more memorable.

The floor meadow pew ends and registration table displays were move to the become table centrepieces following the ceremony, making sure that the couple made the most of their wedding day florals.

All photos credit to their photographer who we met for the first time, but certainly hope our paths cross again because he was a really friendly guy!
