Watching the news today makes my heart sink! I have spent this week talking with schools, brides, venues, and party hosts about how we can make their event the best it can be WITHOUT using the dancefloor or dancing in any way. And yet we see sights of people doing the conga through pub gardens, dancing and chanting in the streets in groups of 50+, gathering in large groups against advice but with little to no consequence. But our industry is being decimated by regulations that are being flouted everywhere else or just simply do not apply.
As a business I want my clients to be safe, but the lack of consistency is beyond a joke and undermines the whole point of having regulations in the first place.
Please don't be that one person who destroys a business by participating in such antics and delaying the relaxation or regulations further. And please can the authorities enforce the regulation where needed! Make an example of people who genuinely flour the rules.
