Emstrey Crematorium and Cemetery had the privilege of hosting a heartfelt Christmas Memorial Service. The service, led by Celebrant Philip Davies Independent Celebrant, was enhanced by the uplifting music of Dan Woodvine. Thank you to our exceptional colleagues for your extraordinary efforts throughout the year. Your dedication in organising the Christmas Memorial Service, along with your ongoing hard work and compassion, has had a profound impact on our families and community. We are incredibly proud of your remarkable contributions
In addition to this emotional occasion, Emstrey Crematorium is proud to continue supporting Severn Hospice’s extraordinary work. This year, we were able to donate £7,800 from our Metal Recycling Scheme to help provide cooling blankets for families during their loved ones' final moments. These blankets offer a much-needed source of comfort and dignity, extending precious time with family members in their last moments. Each blanket has a seven-year lifespan and could support up to 1,176 families. We are deeply honored to be able to contribute to such a meaningful cause.
We also made a donation of £2,200 from our Metal Recycling Scheme to Parkinson's UK, supporting their essential services. This contribution will assist their helpline and local support groups in Shrewsbury, Telford, Ludlow, and Church Stretton, providing invaluable help to those affected by Parkinson's disease.
The event also featured a raffle with generous prizes donated by our wonderful community. The prizes included:
• Tanners Wines: A selection of fine wines
• Rainbows and Apron Strings Bakery : A beautifully decorated Christmas cake
