Happy Valentine’s Day, with Love from Ruxley Nursery 💕💘
The gift that keeps on giving long after your bunch of flowers have faded is the Hellebore or Lenten Rose.
Easy to grow, hardy, with beautiful flowers from approx December to Spring, the flowers even look good as they fade and are a great early pollinator source. 🐝
Prefers dappled shade but tolerates a variety of conditions or can be container grown.
We have varieties Glenda’s Gloss & Pippa’s Purple. 🌸💕🐝

We have our delivery of large tree ferns coming in tomorrow!
This will be our ONLY delivery of big ferns from our regular specialist supplier this year as supply is very limited.
Tree ferns are harvested under licence from sustainable sources in Australia.
We have 2 x 6ft &
4 x 8ft only.
They will be priced at 6ft: £528 & 8ft: £704.
We have a selection of smaller multi trunk ferns on site from 1 to 3 ft including one multi trunk at 5ft.

As you can see from the last couple of pictures the car park is still pretty well snow covered. ⛄️❄️
Plant tunnels are clear & we still have fresh wreaths, potted trees & gardenalia in the greenhouses if you are looking for a gift idea for the garden lover! 🎁 🎅🏻
Please dress appropriately for the conditions if you are visiting. 🥾❄️🥶⛄️

We are open today till approximately 3pm.
Any deliveries scheduled to take place yesterday will take place today, road conditions depending.
The remainder of this week, Wednesday to Friday, we will open 10-3.
As you can see from the pictures we are snow covered, although tunnels are clear, so do take care when visiting, appropriate footwear needed! 🥾🧣❄️

Some pictures of our visit to Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech to brighten the grey day at home, with its distinctive blues & yellows 💙💛
It was saved by Yves Saint Laurent from destruction and is an oasis of calm from the bustle of downtown Marrakech; well worth a visit.
A wonderful collection of cacti, palms and exotic plants.
