Big Pickett and High Peak as the sun sets ☀

This area has been getting a lot of attention recently due to the large cliff fall. However it still makes for some lovely views towards Ladram, Exmouth and even further on a clear day!

Stormy seas makes for some great waves! 🌊

Here is one I captured as the light was starting to fade. The backwash caused by the pebbles can flow back into the waves causing them to stand up and throw some amazing shapes!

What do you think this looks like? I think it sort of looks like an ammonite fossil! 🌊

Comet C/2023 A3 from Jacobs Ladder Beach, Sidmouth ☄️

It has been a challenge for astro this year with all the cloud, however last night offered a window to be able to capture the Comet A3 which visits the inner solar system roughly every 80,000 years. This means it would last have been visible from Earth when the Neanderthals were walking the planet - amazing! 😱

Budleigh Salterton under a glow of Aurora Borealis! ✨

Another one of my favourites from last Thursday 😍 This is a 180degree panoramic view overlooking the River Otter Estuary, Iconic Firs and Budleigh Beach! I am so happy with how this has turned out, it shows the scale of how much sky was lit up with the Northern Lights!

I had started at Budleigh that night, but it proved to be too cloudy! As I was about to head to a different location, the skies cleared for a short moment! I ran back down the beach and managed to capture some great views!

Jacobs ladder and the Northern Lights, Sidmouth! ✨

Two photos I never thought would be possible! 😍
This was my last stop, at around 3am last Thursday. I wanted to see if the iconic view of the top of the ladder would work, as the display was near enough visible East to West! and it was!

It is images like this that make it worth the 8 hours of searching!

The Aurora Borealis lit up the sky once again this year with a beautiful glow of colour here in East Devon. 😍

Take a look as the night turned into the early hours of the morning, the cloud cleared, revealing a display of dancing light! It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but it was all worth it in the end!

Stormy Waters 🌊

I wasn't expecting the burst of colour with the rain we had all day, but wow, the glow was incredible!
