This was a request from the lovely couple for their signature cocktails to be displayed on the bar, but really wanted it to match their underwater theme. This was the result and I loved it!

WHAT’S MY UNIQUE SELLING POINT? 🤔

I’ve clearly been watching too many clips recently but it’s made me have a think about Tomarty and my USP.

It’s definitely the fact that I can offer so many matching items; from invitations and save the dates to drinks tokens and unique signage.

I love what I do and being able to tie in so many items for my couples always makes me happy!

ORANGE 🧡🍊 - Is it me or is it wedding-popular?!

It’s slowly crept up on me but I’ve just realised I’ve been working on quite a few orange orders lately 🤔

Need some sparkle today! ✨

Well Monday hasn’t quite kicked off as planned but I’m winging it and going with whatever the world wants to throw at me today lol.

If youve noticed I’ve posted about 4 times in 3 minutes it’s because I realised there had been a glitch on my grid and for some reason some of my pics were showing up darker than they should be! Hopefully will get that sorted asap as it’s very annoying lol.

I love, love, love Church weddings; call me an old lady and laugh in my face but I just love the tradition of it all!
Throw in some gorgeous church stationery in the Order of Service and it’s a recipe for fabulousness!

My Order of Service booklets are A5 size and come with a printed paper insert, with the option of a stapled spine or a bow-tied spine. Choose something simple and plain or have them made to match the colour theme of your choice.

Booklets are always proofed and signed off by you before they are printed so you have full autonomy!

What’s your opinion on wedding Guest Books? They might not be for everyone but they still play a part in the big day of so many couples.

They can also be used alongside a photo booth so that guests can stick in their photograph and write a message too!

All my guest books are personalised with name and wedding date and made to match whatever design you choose!

The Eucalyptus Story Continues….

Green seems to be as popular as ever and I have to say I am still a fan as it works for all seasons!

Allow me to introduce you to the Chantelle range which is an invitation available in pocket or single fold format depending on how much information space you need!

If you choose a pocketfold you can add RSVP and information cards which are super handy for getting lots of details to your guests - menu options, accommodation, gifts etc!

Shown here with a green border, Chantelle usually only has green in the foliage and ribbon but if you want an extra punch of green then the border can be added.

Tomarty = One Stop Stationery Shop!

The things I hear the most from clients in my many years of stationery consultations :

💌 Stationery is ‘more involved’ than I thought
💌 It’s overwhelming making a choice
💌 I don’t know what I need
💌 I don’t know what will compliment our big day
💌 Help me!!!

Obviously I’m a stationery geek so I’m always going to think that wedding stationery is important - after all if you don’t send out some form of invitation, be it a hard copy invite or a digital invite then you won’t have any guests!

It starts with the save the date or invitation but the choice you make on those may carry over to your ‘on the day’ stationery for seating plan, place cards, welcome boards etc.

So when choosing your invitations try to think of how you envisage your big day and where the stationery sits within that vision.

I’m always here with a helping hand and happy to discuss and share examples where I can because nobody needs to be overwhelmed - let’s make choosing wedding stationery fun!

W A X S E A L S 💌

There is something quite lavish about a wax seal - even more so if it is personalised with your initials! If you love the idea of wax seals on your invitations, it is also possible to incorporate them into the ‘on the day’ stationery too!

Shown here on a seating plan in gorgeous sage with orange and gold accents, it creates a link to your invitations and adds the personal touch.

Wax is available in a whole range of colours and if you want a personalised wax seal it will be yours to keep once it’s been used for your order!

The office is officially open again now I’m back from my first ever Ski holiday! What a fun yet tiring experience!

C h u r c h W e d d i n g ? 💒

If you’re having a traditional church service for your wedding you will likely need Order of Service booklets so guest can follow the ceremony and join in with any hymns!

Tomarty can provide those for you to match your colour theme and other stationery. These are A5 size booklets with a paper insert which you can choose to have stapled at the spine or tied with ribbon.

This was a stylish monochrome wedding and I just loved finishing the crisp white booklets with a gorgeous black satin bow.

I specialise in providing matching stationery from Save the Date to Seating Plans to Thank You cards. Stationery is a part of each element of your big day so be sure to give it plenty of consideration and thought as it may even help you make other decisions and choices!

Vegas style! ♦️♣️♥️♠️

Who’s booked their summer holiday already, or are we all watching the clock for January pay day for deposits?!

When this lovely bride asked me to add a Las Vegas spin to the wedding passport invitation I knew it was going to be fun to do! This was the result and I love it, especially adding the casino chip to the passport motif which took me right back to last year playing Black Jack in Vegas for the first time with my person 😬

You don’t need to have a destination wedding to choose the passport invitations; maybe you just travel a lot or work in the travel industry, or maybe you both met while travelling?! Or maybe just for the hell of it! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Keep going people, not long until that January payday! 💪🏻

I’ve been making wedding stationery since 2006 and the gatefold was one of the first styles I ever made! They come in and out of favour and popularity through the years, but I love the latest version of these, using the inside folds for information such as gifts and menu!

I treated myself to some time away from social media posting which I’ve quite enjoyed!

I loved this sign for a gorgeous NYE couple and their fabulous wedding I wonder how many hangovers were being nursed on 1st Jan?! 😆

UNPLUGGED CEREMONY 🫶

I’m being asked more and more to include an ‘Unplugged Ceremony’ sign within orders placed. Our mobile phones are wonderful things - we can communicate non stop with loved ones and capture moments on our cameras in an instant. However it’s becoming apparent that we are no longer living in the moment but instead focussing on getting the best angle for our photos rather than being present and immersing ourselves in what is happening before our eyes. I love it when I’m asked for an Unplugged Ceremony sign because I totally get if.

Back in the summer I went to see in Cardiff and Chris Martin asked for one song that everyone put down their phones and just be in the moment together. It was so emosh I had a tear in my eye!

So if you’re planning your big day it may be something you’d like to consider, and if you do then it’s something Tomarty can help with. For this board I was asked to incorporate the ‘unplugged’ text within the wedding timeline and it worked well!

Personalised Guest Names ✏️

I already offer guest name printing but this is a cute new stylish way to personalise easy item of stationery; save the dates, invitations, menus or place card settings.

The little gold water drop paper clip attaches the guest name and I am in love with how it looks! I will be experimenting with this idea over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for some new designs!

Monday Mischief 😜

Every time I make a gorgeous guest book for a wedding I chuckle for all the crazy vodka-fuelled messages I’ve scribed at weddings over the years; I’m sure a few sentimental ones have slipped through too but I’d say most of them mildly abusive and sarcastic 😆

Some say with the new digital age a guest book is outdated, but I do feel if anything it’s made the written word even more precious; handwriting has far more character than the typed word….

If you want to add a guest book to your order just tick the box on the order form! This picture is of the Aoiffe range with added Dior bow and brooch upon request of the Bride.

Feeling very appreciated after this message. It was a small job for a small wedding and Roger wasn’t sure I would take it on but at Tomarty everyone is treated equally - I pride myself on always providing good and friendly service no matter how big or small your order 🤗
