Established in 2014 we travel around Yorkshire serving really yummy, properly homemade food alongside some seriously good coffee! So it seems back to school means back to business too 💼 we’ve had lots of bookings and enquiries come flooding in which has left us with another fully booked week this week 🙌 plenty of space next week though if you’d like to get booked in!

Malham Show IS going ahead tomorrow after being completely flattened last night by storm Lilian. The very hard working volunteers that make the show as amazing as it is have managed to rebuild it all today ready for you all 🫶
Unfortunately we are not there this year but the lovely people at The Wild Horse are standing in for us, so please go show them some Cobble love and support…how amazing do these cake look! 😋

Sundays beautiful post-wedding brunch - we rounded off Amber and Sues amazing wedding weekend with coffee, bacon butties, toasted cheese and tomato croissants and these amazing monster pastries from 🥐
Saturday Sarah and Anna did a cracking job at Gargrave Show selling mountains of cake and cappuccinos 😍 thank you to everyone that came to say hi! I think their ears are still ringing from the chainsaw demonstration next door (we’ll be able to laugh about it one day 😬🙉) Marcel coughed sawdust from his exhaust all the way home 🤣🤦♀️
Luckily he’s heading off to the garage tomorrow for his yearly fix of all the bits and bobs that need sorting to keep this nearly 70 year old van on the road! 🚐💛

Another big colourful buffet for our regulars at JBA 🙌 this time celebrating Duncan’s 25 years at the company (congrats Duncan!) He requested a world themed lunch which was similar to one we did last year celebrating the company’s diversity of cultures and countries that their staff come from 🌎🌍🌏

It’s National Afternoon Tea week and we’ve got a busy one on our hands again! Plus, very excitingly we are out in the van this weekend at Gargrave Show 🚜🐏 so lots to bake and prep for that plus a full diary of deliveries! Unfortunately we are fully booked this week but taking orders from next Monday 19th August onwards 🙌🍓 or come see us on Saturday for your fix of cake, coffee and countryside fun! 🌾
A colourful bespoke picnic for Claire and family heading out on the Settle Carlisle steam railway today! Packaged in our smaller boxes to make them easier to transport, complete with compostable plates and cutlery ready for a grand day out 🚂🚂🚂 I bet these made the other passengers pretty jealous!!

I remind myself daily how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. Rivers, canals and fields, sunsets, stiles and stepping stones. Whatever the season, it doesn’t disappoint! Its amazing to see its popularity grow and so many people visiting and enjoying our countryside at the moment, makes me even more proud to say I’m from here, born n bred!

Did you know we grow all our own garnishes? 🌿 Those who’ve followed for a while know that I have always loved (attempting) to grow my own food, I find it so satisfying! Though none of it has made it to a Cobble plate yet 😂 but thankfully we’ve always got a huge supply of herbs which I use to garnish our boxes and platters. It’s my favourite job in the morning going to the garden and picking everything I need for the day.
I have to say the oregano has been the surprisingly easy thing to grow and survived all winter too. I think it’s prettiness is underrated. We’ve also had a great crop of strawberries and tomatoes this year! Whereas my figs and cherries got stolen by the birds 💔

Another busy week finished off with catering for the Tough Mudder crew as they set up for this weekends event. A job I’ve been doing for a few years now and always enjoy 😊 Pretty proud of this massive spread I whipped up this morning!
Tomorrow we are out in the van at for the outdoor production of Romeo & Juliet and the weather looks 🤩☀️🤩☀️🤩

One whole week at Bolton Abbey and it’s absolutely flown!!! This bank holiday weekend has been our busiest ever and we’ve loved every minute! The feedback from our Easter bakes and drinks has been incredible and the little ones are just loving the Bunny Trail. Find us down at the Strid until the 14th April, open everyday from 9.30am-4.30pm 🐰☀️🐣 car parking is £15 which includes a trail sheet and miles and miles of beautiful walks to keep the whole family entertained! ☀️

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and messages on my last post! I was blown away, I honestly didn’t think anyone would care but it genuinely made me feel a lot better talking about it. I’ve obviously found my dog loving foodie people with you guys! ❤️
It was a sad start to the year but thankfully January is always our quietest time and I’ve been lucky enough to be able to take plenty of time to myself to rest and reset. I am a big fan of January for that reason, I made a decision many years ago to not get stressed about low sales and instead look forward to having time to do all those things you always wish you had time to do! So my home, workplace (and brain!) are clean, tidy and ready for the year ahead, new ideas and opportunities 🙌
Are you a January fan? I feel like social media is full of people starting mad gym routines and posting motivational quotes about seizing the new year…new year, new me…what if I’m happy as I am? What if you just want to lay low, watch afternoon sunsets and drink endless cups of tea?? ? Give me a cosy corner of a fire lit pub any day 😂 Anyone with me?

Sorry for the radio silence, unfortunately at Christmas I lost my little sidekick, Frank and I’ve been a little bit heartbroken 😔 we knew he was ill and we gave him the best last month, but it hasn’t made the big hole he’s left in our lives any easier. I spend a lot of time working on my own but for 8 years I wasn’t lonely, as he was by my side, listening, watching, snoring! If my emails didn’t make sense it was usually because he’d come and rested his chops right on my laptop! He made us laugh every day. It has been hard but I am feeling better and remembering the good times, how lucky we were to have such a character in our lives. I am back and work and appreciative of all the orders everyone’s sent through, thank you, we are here ready for a busy and bright 2024 🐶✨

Apart from a heatwave 😂 we came up against nearly every extreme weather which threw up an insane amount of challenges, from -9 degrees, snow, heavy rain and Storm Pia to finish! But that is exactly why we love working outdoor events so much, no day is ever the same! Special thanks to Mum, Sarah and Anna were absolute superstars throughout!!
The team at Bolton Abbey are absolutely incredible and a joy to work alongside too, their relentless positivity and energy is definitely infectious! It’s such an honour to be even a small part of what makes this event so magical ✨
We hope everyone that visited enjoyed their experience and made some amazing memories with their little ones! It really was a pleasure to serve you all.
We’re all off to get tucked up warm, relax and be merry.

So the kitchen is closed but we’re not quite finished yet! We are down in the Christmas Village for the final week of Santas residency here, right up until the 22nd December 🙌
