Faith.
It's a funny thing.
It pushes and tests you to your absolute limit.
It's fine when life is grand, and everything is ever so light and fluffy, but what about in your darkest moments?
What, then?
What about when you feel like you're drowning in your own despair?
What about when fear is all consuming and that is the only thing you can make sense of?
What, then?
Because I've noticed something.
When life gets a little bit s**t, we as humans retreat in on ourselves.
Pain makes us believe we are all alone.
We try and bear the weight of it by ourselves.
We were never built to be singular.
On the contrary, just like the trees, we are all within a circuitry system of connection, an interwoven energetic thread that leads us all back home to each other and to the Goddess.
And yet, when things get tough, we feel disconnected and alone.
Why is that?
Fear.
Low vibrational states cloud our vision and make us forget that we are part of the all.
We end up going against our own innate nature.
And the more we feel the fear, the more we crave to stay there.
Why?
Because it gives us the illusion of control.
Surrendering up that control is one of the hardest but most freeing and liberating things we can ever do.
That is what faith is.
Knowing that you can never micromanage the Goddess.
And that things will be, however, they are meant to be.
You can either bash your head upside the cauldron as you fight against her transformational nature....
Or you can surrender to the flow and enter into the darkness freely....knowing that she walks beside you always.
For the darkness is where you began....from the darkness of the void into the birthing light of creation.
You are the seed. The darkness is your soil.
It's time to surrender.
Let go.
Jumping the besom broom! A fabulous way to celebrate your new life as a Handfasted couple.

Have you ever wondered about the history and origin of handfasting? Handfasting has roots in pagan and Celtic cultures, where it was a legal and binding form of marriage.
The symbolism of handfasting, with the couple's hands bound together by cords, represents the strength and unity of their bond.

Imbolc blessings sent with love 🤍
My name is Mandy Kay and I founded Beeloved Ceremonies because I am passionate about reclaiming our Celtic traditions and bringing elements of them back into the world through today's ceremonies. Weaving and creating Handfasting wedding ceremonies and vow renewals for those beloveds who desire 'more' but cannot describe what 'more' is exactly. A ceremony that fills a space with tangible emotion and unites all souls present.
I have over five years of experience in the art of Celtic Handfastings. I work closely with each couple to create their unique ceremony from that initial telephone call to the consultation and right up to their wedding day. A friendship is often borne through weaving together this beautiful ceremony which tells the story of their relationship and their love shared.
I trained with the Glastonbury Goddess Temple and now live on the fringes of Glastonbury, the ancient Isle of Avalon a very magical and unique town in the beautiful county of Somerset. A place that attracts many hundreds of souls each year (outside of the Glastonbury Music Festival), sometimes visiting out of curiosity, sometimes in search of 'something'. I have had the delight of conducting many ceremonies here on the Isle, but I am equally happy to bring an element of magic to other counties in the UK.
If I have sparked your interest or stirred your creativity for a Handfasting wedding, vow renewal, or another ceremony please get in touch
