Today is the annual South Petherton Folk Festival! It’s on from 10-6 and there will be lots of live music, food and drinks aplenty plus all the wonderful shops and businesses will be open for you to browse inbetween!

I’ve had a delivery of garden and houseplants delivered this morning, plus lots of Father’s Day cards to choose from and of course, plenty of gorgeous blooms.

We’re open extended hours - 9-4 today. Come say hello!

These are the kinds of flowers that made me fall in love with floristry. Cottage garden blooms, light and airy, lots of colours yet somehow they still go well together. Scented, textured and if you carry them they bounce beautifully!

Most of these blooms are grown here, just outside Barrington by the most wonderful Lucy of . She tends her crops with such care, and the quality of the blooms she delivers to the shop are second to none.

Lucy has been growing for me for 4 years and she still surprises me with flowers I’ve never heard of or something extra special!

Next week is British Flowers Week and Lucy and I are planning something exciting! Watch this space.

Also a heads up - the South Petherton Folk Fest is this Saturday! Come down and join in the fun, the weather is looking good! 🎶🍺☀️

Introducing ‘Sunshine Meadow’, one of our new luxury bouquet options available to order through our website.

This one is packed full of petal heavy garden roses, floaty butterfly ranunculus, scented stocks, blossom sprigs, pale blue delphiniums and loads more in shades of butter yellow, peach, apricot and soft blues. 💛🧡🩵

Here until the season ends. This is one of a few new designs I will be introducing over the next few days. The website has had a big update with lots of gorgeous new stock too, including new embroidered Market Baskets, and a gorgeous Baby & Toddler clothes range (more stock arriving next week)!

Just a reminder that we are closed today, Friday 18th April, but will be back tomorrow 9-2 as normal.

Well, with Mother’s Day finished for another year (thank you again!) there is no rest over here.. we’ve got our first workshop of the year happening this weekend, and we still have a few places left!

Come along and learn how to make your own planted spring wreath. This Saturday afternoon at the beautiful from 4pm.

Hello, welcome to another week! It’s set to be a beautiful one ☀️

Tulip season has well and truly begun, and I’m so here for it. Here is just a few of the varieties we have coming in this week. They’ll be available by the stem, by the bunch and will feature throughout all of our Mother’s day bouquets too.

Thank you so much for all your online orders over the weekend! Im so looking forward to getting stuck in and creating a river of bouquets for all the lovely mums.

I will also make sure to have posies, bunches and bouquets, wrapped plants and planted arrangements available to grab and go for those not quite so organised (whilst stocks last).

Because a big birthday deserves a big bouquet 🙌🏻🌸

This beautiful arrangement is called a Tied Sheaf, and I created it recently as the final tribute for a wonderful local man, husband and father, to sit atop his wicker casket.

The family requested soft oranges, butter yellows and spring tones with a loose and undone feel. Based on this I chose these beautiful ranunculus, tulips and poppies and roses as the focal flowers in the design, supported by pale blue delphiniums, wax flowers, blossoms and lilacs, amongst lots more.

The benefit of choosing a design such as the Tied Sheaf, is that after the event, the flowers can be brought back, unbound and put into vases or given as bouquets, thank yous and enjoyed for the weeks to come.

Creating farewell flowers is always an honour, and something I love to do 🧡
