Capturing the Present for the Future

My love of photography was started by my dad, I must have been around 7 or 8, when he gave me my first camera, it was an old 1920s Roll Film Box Brownie Camera, for me it was fantastic, the thought I could push a lever and the scene I had pointed my camera at would be captured forever. Black and white in those days. I still own my first camera to this day, it set me on the path to my love of photography.

At school I took a CSE in photography were I was able to take photo’s and developed my own pictures in black and white, there I learnt the principals of photography and continued my passion. My first full time job after leaving college was in the printing industry in the photographic reproduction department. During my time in the printing industry I learnt many skills one being my ability to use programs to manipulate photos helping to create beautiful pictures.

My equipment to date comprises of Canon cameras and a range of Canon lenses. Lighting strobes and off camera flash.
