Sometimes wedding days can be challenging purely from a video perspective, whether that be rain on equipment, a lack of light in the winter or acoustics. But there’s always magic to be found, particularly in rain! There’s beauty in meaning too and you have to stop and observe what is in front of you, what means most to the couple. Not get fixated on the shots that you imagined you would create, before the rain clouds set in. As creatives, we day dream about our ideas a lot! But capturing a wedding day is more of an organic process. I really wanted to find a way incorporate this recording from when Rina walked down the aisle. But initially I felt you could tell that it’s a mono with an echo from the chapel. But I went with it and saw the beauty in it. To me the echo made it feel like an old found recording. So followed the vintage video aesthetic. I mixed the track with many layers of traffic, rain sounds and suddenly I had an edit that felt true to their experience of their wedding day. I also knew how incredibly close Rina was to her mother, so it seemed fitting to have her introduce the film. This is just the first section, before the film goes into colour.
Even after the napkins have are laid down and the crumbs are on the table, it’s pure romance in design from Liz Linkleter Events
So happy to be doing some commercial projects later in the year. I’ve always believed in diversifying, so the pandemic wasn’t about starting something new from scratch, more developing existing areas. Getting out of your bubble brings new skills and refreshed creativity that I can then apply to weddings too.
Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing, multitasking, nourishing, loving, self-sacrificing Mothers. I’m so grateful to have worked with so many of you. I cannot wait for the shoots we have planned this year!

Now that weddings are on pause, I’m loving working with clients to create imagery for their brand. This #cinemagraph was created for @portraitsbridal
It’s over on @lovemydress today! So happy to be able to share with you a snippet of the @portraitsbridal promo I had the pleasure to light, film and edit. What a talented team to work with! I have worked alongside Nadia and Zara on perhaps 7 weddings now and they have made every bride look stunning!
I miss getting shoved about on the dance floor, in the name of art #israelidancing
I’ve got lots of wedding films to share with you and this little sneak peek of what we cooked up in the studio for a talented hair and make-up artist team.
I bet Times Square is rather different to how it was when I was there at the beginning of the year. To be honest I felt sad looking at it, the mass of people taking selfies and unnecessary electricity being used to make sure we buy more stuff we don’t need. I wonder how the air is now. I was just discussing with someone how they felt London smells different and is cooler. And if you’ve seen my story post, you will see how the air here by the sea looks entire different, like we’re in ultra, super, mega HD. #cinemagraph
Tracy & Mat took shelter from the rain in the porch of his childhood home. Then followed light.
