Don't miss the most exciting day of the year in the village of Bradwell on Sea. The Flower Show - with its hall full of exhibits and the Village Hall field full of stalls and side shows. The grand opening by Ray Clarke is at 1pm followed by the Dog Show.
The organisers have worked hard to make this ninetieth show a real celebration!
On a day such as this, everyone is aware of what a great asset the village has in its Hall and surrounding grounds. Please help us to keep this institution going by seeking out our Water into Wine stand. For just £2 you get the chance to win a bottle of wine. There will be alternative prizes of soft drinks for those not keen on alcohol. All money raised on the stall will go towards maintaining the fabric of the Hall.

How many people spotted that I got the day wrong?!
The Flower Show is on Saturday 1st August.
Preparations are in full swing and those of you who want to enter one of the many classes can get a schedule from the Village Shop. You then need to register your entry on Wednesday 29th July at the Village Hall. It only costs 20p to enter and there are trophies to be won!! What are you waiting for?

The Village Hall is raising funds on its "water into wine" stall. Donations of wine or soft drinks are very welcome, please. Leave bottles at the back of Sue Spiers house along by the garage or at Bradwell Hall Lodge, last house on the right before the end of the 30mph limit.

Sue and I will be at the Flower Show on Sunday August 1st to raise money for the Village Hall. We will have our famous Water into Wine stall. This is not as miraculous as it sounds!!
For £2 a go, 3 goes for £5, you may select a carefully wrapped bottle which may or may not be full. If you choose a full one you win the bottle of wine. Alternatively you may choose from a selection of soft drinks.

Not long to go before Bradwell's amazing Flower Show on Saturday August 1st.
I hope you are all planning your competition entries!

Bradwell Village Hall will be running their usual "Wine or Water?" stall. This year we are adding the option of winning non-alcoholic beverages as well as wine.
Of course we do need donations of bottles. We would be very grateful for any full bottles of wine, squash or fizzy drink.
Please give to any member of the committee, or there will be a blue box outside Bradwell Hall Lodge for you to use. It is the last house on the left hand side of Maldon Road, before the end of the 30mph limit.

VILLAGE HALL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

You may have visited Bradwell Village Hall for an event such as the Flower Show or the recent History talks, but do you know how it is run or who helps to run it?

Now is your chance to find out.

The Village Hall will be holding its AGM on Wednesday 20th May at 7.30pm in the Committee Room. The meeting will be reporting on the events of the last year and will also outline the financial position of the charity.

The Village Hall Trustees are people who represent the organisations that use the hall on a regular basis plus three members of the public. The Trustees are also able to co-opt members if needed.

The Village Hall is run as a charity, and its Trustees are responsible for managing the Hall’s facilities for the use of the people of Bradwell-on-Sea and the surrounding villages. The Hall is leased from the Parish Council and the internal fabric of the Hall is the responsibility of the Trustees. Money raised by hiring the Hall to groups and individuals is used to pay for its upkeep. Any surplus together with the proceeds of fundraising activities is used to improve the Hall’s facilities.

We would love to see you at the meeting. It would show your support for the hardworking Trustees and should you be interested in becoming a Trustee, we could let you know what that involves.
We look forward to welcoming you on Wednesday 20th May at 7.30pm in the Committee Room at the back of the main hall.
