A wholesome day that helped a lot of hearts 🩷 the kids and the community, strangers sitting together chatting like old friends, new friends made, sharing food, drinks and sweets, drawing, crafting and lots of hugs and smiles. This is what Southport Together is all about 🩷🌈🥰

Following on from the lovely Peace and Love event that the lovely Red set up last week we will be back with a Children’s Quiet Corner tomorrow.

We have ourselves making bracelets and crafts and the
lovely Southport Rocks and Pebbles & Treasures bringing some crafts too.

We will also have bubbles (feel free to bring your own)
and not forgetting lots of free hugs!

This will be a quiet corner for reflection and quiet children’s activities.

We will be in the corner near to the memorial at The Atkinson close to The Pavilion cafe.

We will have badges and stickers available too whilst stocks last.

A post that I never thought I would have to make, but here goes…

As you can imagine with us being based in Southport, we have had a knock on effect from the tragedy of what happened here last week.

From what was a very busy summer, is now full of cancelled events and cancelled parties and bookings, which is totally understandable.

I have chosen to stop advertising what we do and use the platform (as it’s mostly full of locals and surrounding areas) to promote fundraisers, things happening in the town and of course the wonderful “SOUTHPORT TOGETHER”

Also I just don’t feel right in advertising anything right now to protect the families that follow us.

I don’t really want to sit in my own thoughts about the knock on effects going forward and how we will manage, so I just wanted to ask for you to please please keep us in your thoughts over the next few weeks/months for your celebrations or events. We are really going to need you and your support 🩷

We are extremely sorry for events that have been cancelled and hope you can understand, and we thank people who have carried on with their events too. It’s just so sad it’s got to this especially in the summer holidays.

I also want to give the team a huge thank you for donating their time unpaid to visit children, and fundraisers, plus helping with the bracelet making at the weekend.

I know we will get through this 🥲🩷

Super sorry for not posting today, I’ve been helping at a festival and not had any signal.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been to pick up a sticker, as you can probably tell this was a last min idea and the demand has been amazing, Steph has ran out of pink today but other colours are available and she will be selling until 6pm

Once Steph has had a breather and made some more we will post again about where to pick them up.

These can be for windows, doors, car windows or any flat surface.
