Let’s talk Reviews

So sad to of received a 1 Star review today from Jean Yeung, for only delivering in Southport. Inspired Flowers is a small family run business, that is proud to be Local, Independent and based here in Southport for the past 25 years.
I think when people leave a ⭐️1 star review they don’t realise the damage this can do to small businesses and possibly forget there is a real person who cares so much about their business reading the review. This will now have an effect on my position on Google and will no doubt end in me loosing orders, all thanks to this very unfair review.
I can’t really believe I’m now having to explain why I only deliver to Southport 🙈 but here goes!
I used to be part of a well known national relay company 💐so I would have been able to send flowers nationally in the past. Times changed over the years and customers would find it much more cost effective to ring a florist directly in the area that they wanted to send flowers to, cutting out the middleman. The relay companies take huge cuts from Florists so the customer isn’t getting value for money, and the florist is giving a large percentage away.
I think very similar business structure to the well known food apps.
I took the leap five years ago and decided to go completely independent with my own Website, and it was the best decision for the business, meaning any orders I receive online 💯 of the value of the order goes to me, this is great for me and also means my customers are getting great value too.
I’m not too sure if Jean expects me to make a bouquet up and delivery it to say London? but surly Jean you would understand with the cost of petrol and a round trip of approximately 8 hours it would be one heck of an ask 🤣 and I’m sure you would leave me a 1 star ⭐️ review when I gave you the delivery bill 💵 .
Jean if you are reading this, I would be really grateful if you would consider removing the very unfair review? I would remove this post and if you popped along to the shop there would be no hard feelings and I would give you a lovely complimentary bouquet 💐 as an act of kindness and share the positive vibes. I would also love to hear your ideas how I could overcome the problem of only delivering in Southport? Because I’m stumped.
