Local Folk musician Steve Canavan has been on the Lancashire folk scene for the past decade, and performs his own songs – sometimes serious, often not – and the songs of his dad, Mike, a folk singer of renown in the 1970s whose song Knocker Upper Man is still performed at folk clubs around the UK.
Steve lives on the Fylde and for many years ran the popular St Annes folk club.
He will also be MC'ing for all our acts this coming weekend!

Steve will be performing on Saturday & Sunday.

Annother Folk Festival act announcement, its our pleasure to host Scolds Bridle!
Scolds Bride is made up of duo Liz Walmisley and Sue Bousfield, who have been entertaining audiences throughout the UK and abroad since they were barely out of their teens.

They epitomise the art of Folk entertainment and continue to enthral audiences with their unique style and humour.

Scolds Bridle will be playing on Saturday 27 July.

Appearing across both days of our Folk Festival weekend is !
Polly Mellor is a musician, songwriter & lettering artist from Lytham.
She’s is noted for her catchy style and feel-good guitar riffs, whilst incorporating a mix of rock/pop and folk.
Polly will perform at the festival on her electro-acoustic guitar, but writes and produces all her own backing tracks to layer a complete full sound.
She currently also works as a lettering artist working with brands all over the UK, and even here at Lowther where she lettered the paths with giant Shakespearean quotes along the footpaths around the park!
