Yep! So many of you asked for more seasonal workshops so here’s the first addition!

In collaboration with my seasonal pals we are offering this summer flower bowl workshop on Sat 31st August at 10.30am. (It’s soon!)

I’ll be personally guiding you through how to make these beauties (and then how to recreate designs again and again with flowers each season as you’ll get to keep all the reusable mechanics!)

All tools are provided and you’ll get a beautiful glass bowl to let your floral design flow from. The amazing team at Brasserie Blanc are including teas, coffees and some delicious freshly made pastries from their chefs ✨

‘Vanessa was our Florist for our wedding at Southend Barns in May, and I simply do not have enough words to say how incredible she is!

Vanessa is such a wonderful person and has such a passion for her flowers which is clear to see in her work. She was an absolute joy on the run up to and on the day of our wedding, and I felt like I had a real friend cheering us on!

The flowers were nothing short of exceptional, I had never seen flowers like that at a wedding before and they were absolutely perfect. Vanessa uses seasonal British flowers and we trusted her fully to decide on flowers/ colours and we were completely blown away. Summer in full, glorious swing. Roses, trailing jasmine, sweet peas, geum, orange blossom and those gorgeous pale blue pops of nigella picked up perfectly in the hand dyed silk ribbon. Love, love, love!

Working exclusively with British flowers year around (I don’t import a single stem!) is sometimes a challenge-I’m talking about sudden storms, snails, lack of sunshine, heatwaves, caterpillars, wet weather?! 🙄

…But would I have it any other way when it means I can create bespoke, seasonal magic like this for you all week on week? Absolutely no way!! ✨

S E A S O N A L (is always best)✨🌿

asked me to create an entrance to celebrate and welcome graduates last week to their beautiful space in

To say this team are fab is an understatement, it has been such a joy to be in again. The weather threw EVERYTHING at us too! Cue us being battered by the wind and rain and me popping in at the end of long flowery days to top up the arrangements in the heat! By the time it got to Friday I knew it was time for me to book a table for my husband and I to enjoy their fabulous summer menu…at 9.45pm 😂 We were the last ones in there and needless to say, amazing service until the very end…as always!

I love working with businesses that have such an important aligned ethos to mine!

Excited for the rest of this summer’s floral plans with this great bunch! V x

Filled the for Nicky & Chris’s reception set up. Round table meadows in terracotta and gold vessels, full of vibrant English flowers and foliage branches. Colourful palettes, you will always have my heart!! V x

R O M A N C E is a feel created by so many things in a floral design or palette. It can be the flower choices, colour choices or the movement or shapes created by the stems.

For Hazel and Joseph’s set up there were a few elements that made it feel particularly romantic ✨ Firstly, English grown roses…they always bring the romance. The scent of those roses alongside sweet peas and scented stocks created a feel of being in the most beautiful garden with the sun shining-my husband proposed in a rose garden so that always takes me back! And a palette that included such rich sumptuous tones of purple and pink.

Once the candles were lit at the top table that brought lighting into the mix with the final piece of the romance jigsaw of course being the couple themselves. H & J, so totally perfect for one another ☺️✨ Thank you for trusting me to bring the flower magic and be a part of your incredible day 😘 V x

F O R H A Z E L ✨

The details really say so much about this bridal bouquet. With gorgeous roses, sweet peas, peonies and sweet Williams in the mix. We went with a romantic yet bold palette of lilacs and peaches with beautiful raspberry and burgundy tones ✨

Hazel had the most stunning veil with pink toned flowers cascading down, it all came together beautifully!✨

As always here, all British grown stems full of the most beautiful scent and charm ✨We carried the style and palette through the rest of the wedding party and venue florals too.

Such a dreamy day for this super lovely couple ☺️

J O Y B R I N G E R S ✨

It’s and although EVERY week here is British flowers week, I wanted to start it with a quick post about how English grown stems can be anything you want them to be in terms of feel and style if you just use the right combination ✨

Meg and Jack had such a fun brief for me and as soon as I met with them I knew exactly how I was going to go about bringing that to life with their florals! ✨

We wanted the full impact of colour for their relaxed outdoor ceremony so these beauties were all about the snapdragons, stocks, poppies and sweet peas-swipe for the full arrangements!

Pink, orange, vibrant and just pure joy! Dancing poppies, peonies, sweet peas and roses. The beauty of the spring summer transition with English grown flowers.
Sometimes it’s a challenge working with the season, and it’s always like putting together a jigsaw with no photo (apart from the one in my mind that has been built through our conversations) but I couldn’t work in any other way! ✨ V x

All British grown stems, beautifully bright and flower heavy-I think I used x2 bits of foliage across the whole day as green would have really diluted the colour for this one! Flower bowls and bud vases full of tulips, roses, snapdragons, honeysuckle and sweet peas, it was the perfect arrival into summer! ☀️✨

The little details go a long way✨

In my mind a bridal bouquet has always been something that holds a little about its recipient, there is something of the essence of them in it ✨

It’s often not something I deliberately add, but naturally, through the joy of getting to know my couples something comes together and my hands know what is needed to create something special that is theirs alone✨

The detail in Issie’s bouquet was all about an appreciation of the season, a real respect for time, people, place and the romance of story telling. The addition of stems grown by her mum, a florist herself, the lovely Carol and the first roses of the season with all their scent and charm will forever remind them of their incredible day ✨

So excited for the stems to arrive in my hands again this week! Let’s see what magic unfolds. V x

A romantic bouquet with a beautiful, effortless feel for lovely Issie when she married Aidan

All bridal bouquets are one of a kind, made for you with the best of the season. Issie’s bouquet had a really important little addition…the forget me nots ✨🩵 The ones we have loved and lost are always closer to our hearts on these special days. This little flower timed its arrival perfectly and it was incredibly special to be able to include them, not just for Issie but for the whole family.

All English grown stems, peonies, the very first roses of the season, tulips, anemones and beautifully scented stocks. Delicate and with incredible heart. This was such a joy to create ✨

Just a couple more from this sunny palette for H & P on a sunny(hoorah!) Friday ✨☀️

The peonies are in full swing now, as are the roses and the sweet peas (unbeatable scent!) The ranunculus have finished but there are still the most gorgeous tulips!

What a Spring, gorgeous from beginning to end and changing daily✨This is the joy (and challenge) of working with seasonal flowers, so much changes every week. I’ve got two gorgeous couples to create for next week with stunning palettes, guys, I can’t wait!

F O R H O L L Y ✨

Who married Pete a week ago on Friday 🌷It was such a gorgeous palette to work with for a really lovely couple. We went for this yummy combo of corals, lemons, lilacs and a little soft blue ✨The lemon silk ribbon tied in perfectly with Holly’s gorgeous shoes and her dress was a (I had a Watters dress myself on my wedding day!)

Really gorgeous tulips, ranunculus, peonies, dancing poppies, scented stocks and delphinium were in the mix. A real blend of early May magic! ✨

Hi all! I hope everyone has had a fab weekend?! ☀️ I’m behind on sharing bridal bouquets here…there have been some beauties already this month!

Before I do though one more of the meadows for the lovely Issie & Aidan this week. I moved them after the ceremony to in front of the top table
This way they continued to be enjoyed and framed the couple perfectly throughout the food, speeches and beyond✨

Meadows are perfect for creating an effortless feel with your set up. They are incredibly versatile and relatively easily moved! The vibe is that they have that ‘I just dug them up from a gorgeous border in the garden’ feel.
Love them, so different every season too! V x

For the lovely Issie & Aidan yesterday
The sun shone, the sky was blue and it was such a beautiful day to be a part of. Issie chose a gorgeous palette of soft pinks, whites and creams with a little peach which we accented with that incredible baby blue 🩵

As always here, every single stem was English grown. These flowers really told the story of their day, setting time and place in the way only seasonal flowers can. The first roses of the year were alongside peonies, ranunculus, tulips, delphinium and orlaya ✨ Pure magic!

So many congratulations both of you!! It made me beam to see your joy! V x

Hi everyone! Still here, still flowering away! ✨ Needed to share something from Holly & Pete’s wedding on Friday before I burst. You are all trusting me to run with SUCH gorgeous palettes this year and this wedding was no exception!

Peachy tones through to warm oranges, creamy yellows through to flashes of more vibrant hues. Lilacs, whites and soft pale blue as an accent colour. A really beautiful floral recipe! ✨

The tables were just full of gorgeous spring colour and scent. I will say it again…seasonal flowers are just unbeatable 🥰

Holly sent me THE loveliest message of thanks at the weekend. I really do get to work with the best couples 😭✨

The most beautiful, vibrant, spring pastels came together perfectly for Verity’s bridal bouquet on Friday, including that very first peony of the season for me! Every stem, British grown magic✨

Beautiful scented stocks, tulips, ranunculus, blossom and a couple of rather special little narcissi I cut from my garden-swipe to see a close up of their little faces! It’s those tiny details that make a bridal bouquet so special, one of a kind, bespoke each and every time and the ultimate celebration of you!✨

Morning all! It has been non stop flowers here! So excited for all my lovely couples ✨

Every palette this season is a different take on Spring using exclusively British grown flowers, as always here. ✨

Now it was Earth day earlier this week, but the flowers came first and I ran out of time to post! The thing is it’s an earth day every day here. Being a sustainable florist and working in rhythm with our seasons is at the core of my business.

💚 I don’t use single use plastics like floral foam. Honestly, nobody should be using this toxic product anymore but I see it used on here daily. Floral foam doesn’t degrade and contains tiny, tiny microplastics that when the foam is soaked, end up in the water before going down the drain. Ask your florist not to use this please!

💚All my stems, year round, are seasonal, British grown and never flown. The footprint of your flowers is kept as low as possible this way. Blooms are always more incredible in terms of freshness, character and scent for being locally grown!

💚I know the individual people that grow your flowers by name and know they are being paid fairly and have safe working conditions. Something that can’t always be guaranteed when choosing imported flowers. Many of the chemicals the UK has banned here are still used on imported flowers.

💚I don’t ever use dyed or bleached stems. Be wary of pure white foliage or electric blue dried flowers, these aren’t natural and they won’t fully degrade.

💚All green waste is composted, all my mechanics for everything I create are either compostable or re-usable. Things like chicken wire and my custom built metal structures can be used time and time again. Materials such as moss, wool and twine naturally degrade and leave no trace.

This ethos runs through every choice and aspect of the business, from the things I use for washing up and cleaning (compostable sponges/coconut brushes etc) to the stems I use and where I source them from. There is so much to consider when it comes to sustainability, these are just a few points!

It’s been a bit of a week here tbh, sinus pain from a root canal I had earlier in the year has really made me feel rubbish and this weather…well it needs to make its mind up right?!!🌞🌧️

These ‘white Liberstar’ tulips are definitely a favourite of mine. I really do love their shape! Total buttonhole perfection 🤍

An early spring bridal bouquet in a blend of soft colours with little teeny pops of vibrant, joyful spring colour. Budded branches for shape and movement and the most beautiful hellebores, tulips and anemones totally stealing the show.

A bridal bouquet needs to be beautiful in itself but these don’t come alive until they’re in your hands, they are made by me for you, and you alone and I will never get over the magic of a hand over moment! ✨

N A T U R A L P E D S ✨

Pedestals are amazing at brining your florals up towards eye level. It doesn’t have to be a big traditional urn on top, I sometimes use giant glass vases, smaller vases with pin holders for a modern feel or one of my favourite go to vessels, these deep terracotta bowls.

Someone once said to me that pedestal arrangements, in order to feel natural, need to ‘be like siblings rather than twins’ It’s true, they need to reflect each other in terms of style, ingredients and form but not be copies of one another.

K & O had these beauties to mark the end of their aisle on Friday After the ceremony I moved them to behind the top table so they could continue to work their magic, framing the couple for their reception set up perfectly.

What a complete joy it was to create this beautiful, early spring aisle for the super lovely Katie & Ollie on Friday ✨

The round, mossed, candle lit meadows that lined the length of the aisle were full of bulbs and cut flowers and really added to the relaxed but vibrant spring feel we were going for ✨

Whatever the weather did on Friday it was always going to feel like spring with this set up ☺️
