🐾 THROWBACK THURSDAY 🐾

Hello and happy Thursday. How was everyone's first day back to work yesterday? I forgot how quickly the days goes in between doing the school run's.

Sharing a few pieces I made for a long time customer, just before Christmas. When her pet dog Cooper passed away, she had a photo of his paw prints printed. I copied and burned them onto oak coasters and a hanging slice for the tree. They turned into a lovely set of keepsakes, to remember Cooper.

πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ PYE NEST ROAD CYCLE LANE PLAN SCRAPPED πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

Plans for a cycle lane on Pye Nest Road have been dropped after your Labour councillors held a series of meetings with council officers.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) proposed the plans as part of their 'Corridor Improvement Programme', but local residents expressed concerns about the safety of the scheme and worries that cars would be displaced onto surrounding roads.

We are pictured going door to door in the area publicising the consultation and listening to resident's views before raising these concerns with council officers. We believe any changes to the road should focus on reducing the speed of traffic and making it safer for pedestrians.

I presented a petition started by a local resident to the last full council meeting, which was signed by over 150 people.

We are pleased that officers have listened to our objections.

I love to create new buttonhole colour designs this is one of my favorites.
