Our mission is to raise funds for Kidney Research Uk and to spread the word of the charity to as many as possible. It is important to get the local and wider community involved and to educate them more about kidney disease.
This page is for all those who are interested in keeping up to date with future charity events organised by Hannah, Natalie and Richard to raise awareness and money for Kidney Research UK. www.kidneyball.co.uk
Hannah and Natalie's mother has suffered from kidney disease since birth which is why the charity is so important to their family. Richard is a close family friend and also help's support this worthwhile cause and helps them in their fundraising. Their father has been a fundraiser for the charity for over 20 years now so now they feel its time the they take over and do their part. Having raised a significant amount of money for the charity during her time at Spalding High School, in December 2009, Hannah decided they needed to organise a larger event. One that would increase awareness of the chairty, would get the whole community involved and would be fun at the same time! The solution they came to was to organise a charity ball. Their first "Black Tie and Tiara Ball" in 2010 raised just over £3,500 for the charity. The second "Snow Ball" in 2011 saw them dramatically beat that, raising over £5,500. The third "Rule Britannia Ball" raised £7,000. The fourth "Caribbean Calypso Ball" raised £10,000 and the last "Vintage Hollywood Ball" raised £8,000. In total, including other events, the trio have now raised over £34,000 for Kidney Research UK. A lot of hard work is undertaken by the trio together with close family and friends in organising these events. Hannah said "It has certainly been a steep learning curve and challenging at times but we have also had a lot of fun and giggles along the way." Their 6th annual ball is due to take place on Saturday 10th October 2015 at the Springfields Event Centre in Spalding. The Kidney Research Ball team are proud to present the "W***y Wonka's Scrumdiddlyumtious Chocolate Ball" as this years theme. Please help to support their fundraising efforts in any way you can by either being an attendee to their functions or by donating a little something to help make them more successful.
