A little message from the Pinchbeck Carnival chairperson Valerie Sandall
As the new chairperson of Pinchbeck Carnival, I would just like to thank everyone that attended this year's pinchbeck carnival and made it a fantastic day.
This would not be possible without all the wonderful committee members and the volunteers, thanks to every one of them.
I hope everyone enjoyed the day, as I have and I know all the team did too
Thank you again, can't wait until we do it all again next year☺️

Some great pics from the official festival photographer Wild One Photography has been featured in today's Spalding & South Holland Voice newspaper.
We will be publishing all of the photos and videos in the coming days. Our sincere thanks to Louise for capturing these amazing moments, to the attendees for being captured and the incredibly hardworking committee in making it happen at all (many of whom were that hardworking that they didn't even get captured here)!

Thank you for attending our Veterans Big Breakfast at the Red Lion Hotel and to Sir John and PCC Mark Jones for taking time out on Saturday morning to talk to everyone. Great morning x
God Bless you all- thank you to everyone for all your help on this project WE DID IT- WE WON It was announced this morning that the Government has asked Train Operating Companies to withdraw proposals to close ticket offices including the one at Spalding Station. This is because train companies failed to meet the criteria set out as part of the consultation - as we quite rightly pointed out at the time. I just want to say a huge thank you to Cllr Gary Taylor, Liz Sneath, local MP Sir John Hayes CBE and everyone who joined us in this campaign and signed the petition or wrote a letter. Together, we have won this battle. I have no doubt that the railway must modernise and cut costs in the future, but these proposals were simply too much, too fast and would essentially exclude certain people from being able to use the railway. This is only the start of our campaign in Spalding for better facilities at the station and a better service. If you would like to know more or join our efforts, please email [email protected]
Fantastic night at the South Holland Centre, packed audience for the most amazing 60’s event. They played for 3 hrs. Use it or lose it, try and go to as many events as you can and support the team who are working hard so we have entertainment here in South Holland. Well done everyone it was a brilliant night 😊
We can’t ask enough of you this week, the figure is rising, I can’t believe it, each day I look but today has had the biggest rise. Come on everyone make this happen. I went into the station today to ask for a ticket for my next destination, I wanted a treat so after getting a price I asked for a first class price, he not only spent some time, after his closing time I might add, but got me the best deal ever, over £90 off. Are you telling me that you could get that on line, are telling me you could get that from the man on the train where you have thought to buy your ticket, are you telling me you could get that price from the ticket machine ….. THE ANSWER IS NO YOU CANT. NO we need these wonderful people who take their job seriously and work for us to get us the best possible price. You would not get that price anywhere else. I was so shocked and of course took it. Who wouldn’t. But if you don’t support this initiative and sign this petition not only will we be without these two great employees who work hard for us as well as the station, we will be left with an empty building. What is going to happen to that building. PLEASE PLEASE sign that petition. Contact me if you don’t know how. We need you THEY ARE GREAT SO LETS SUPPORT THEM and keep our station alive.
