We so looking forward to welcoming to Cambo House to talk about her beautiful new book, My Faraway Country - in which she recounts a very personal journey to contemporary Myanmar.
Family memories, colourful fairy tales and beautiful illustrations give way to the shock of the military coup in 2021 and its brutal aftermath.

Linda will be talking about the book as well as signing copies. The talk will take place in our Front Hall Gallery, where you can still see our exhibition, curated by James Erskine, “Hope for Myanmar”.

📖 MY FARAWAY COUNTRY : AUTHOR Q & A / BOOK SIGNING 📚🖼️

We are delighted to be welcoming Linda Lewin, author and illustrator of “My Faraway Country: Myanmar” next month to present her new book in Cambo House’s Front Hall Gallery.

The book recounts a deeply personal journey to contemporary Myanmar. Family memories, colourful fairy tales and beautiful illustrations give way to the shock of the military coup in 2021 and its brutal aftermath.

The event will take place in the beautiful gallery at Cambo House, currently featuring an exhibition entitled “Hope for Myanmar”, fearing the work of some of the country’s leading contemporary artists.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing on the night. Limited tickets available - book via link in bio.

Did you feel the shift? 🍃🌸

The Spring or Vernal Equinox was yesterday, Weds 20th March - from the Latin for “equal night” as it marks a point in the year when the equator is the closest part of the earth to the sun, with both northern and southern hemispheres sharing sunlight equally.

The clocks will go forward in TEN days - so, long story short….. we made it, people!

At Cambo, we are looking forward to a bit of a celebration after a bumper snowdrop season across the Estate, as we look ahead to an equally busy summer!
