Tickets go on sale from 3rd March for our Easter concert (12th April) at Rising Brook Community Church with a wonderful programme featuring Lauridsen and Puccini. The choir will be supported by The British Sinfonietta and 2 professional soloists. See below for details. Please share and invite friends and family. St Mary's Collegiate Church, Stafford was packed out for another wonderful pre-Christmas celebration of Handel's Messiah. Thank you to all our wonderful soloists and performers and everyone who came to listen. We look forward to seeing you at future concerts in 2025.

Lovely to be part of the Staffordshire Young Singers awards yesterday (13th July) and hear such talented young people. Stafford Choral Society has supported Fosym and Entrust Music Service this year with funding for the finalists in all 3 age categories. Well done to everyone who took part.

We have finished now for the summer - rehearsals start again on Monday 9th September when we will be preparing for our concert on 23rd November, singing Haydn’s Nelson Mass. New members welcome.

Lots of appreciation for our performers in Saturday's concert. We were privileged to have wonderful soloists and the amazing players in the British Sinfonietta orchestra. We are blessed to be able to sing alongside such talented musicians.

All About SCS

We are a mixed choir from the county town of Stafford, singing for fun and the love of music. No audition is required to join us We are about 90 strong, performing three concerts per year, singing music from Bach to Britten, and in lighter vein, folk songs and songs from shows. Excitingly we often perform with a full orchestra and professional soloists. For special concerts in the past we have sung some of the great oratorios with an augmented choir in Lichfield Cathedral. So come and join in the fun! We have appointed a new Musical Director from September 2018: Ellie Slorach so we are all set for an exciting season.
