Ambient Night Productions

Ambient Night Productions Midlands based theatre production company. Specialists in children's theatre. www.ambientnightproductions.com

Ambient Night Productions was set up in 2009 to provide children ages from 7 - 18 years old, with quality theatre training and experience. Ambient Night Productions provide term-time weekend workshops for children as well as providing quality workshops for schools in areas such as mask theatre, puppetry, play writing, directing and shakespeare to name just a few. Our main focus is the children and

put the decision making in their hands. They tell us what they want to learn about and we provide the resources and training to do that. Our holiday projects have proved a real hit with youngsters. We hold a 2-week workshop during which, the children learn and rehearse a full-scale musical ready to perform to their parents and the general public. Our school workshops are proving increasing popular throughout the Midlands. We can provide half-day or full-day workshops for pupils aged from 6 to 18. By using these skills that have proved to work, Ambient Night Productions are now ready to venture out into the adult world to provide self development, confidence and team-building workshops for businesses.

Today, I spoke to BBC Midlands Today about how the potential closure of the Prince of Wales Theatre would be devastating to children's programming, local youth groups and dance schools, groups set up for vulnerable people and those with disabilities, the local arts community and the wider community as a whole.
It was so heartwarming to see representatives from so many groups come together to speak out about the threat of closure.

The closure of the Prince of Wales Theatre has wider consequences than the loss of a building. The staff that continuously go above and beyond, the community that calls the theatre home, local bars and restaurants visited by a lot of audience members; and the loss of affordable theatre in an already significantly arts deprived area.
Please share and push the petition further. In these early stages it is a quick and simple way to get your voice heard.

Save The Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock

26/11/2024

At the end of every show I always say that without the audience's support we wouldn't be able to continue to do the shows that we do.

This sentiment is even more poignant now as we learn of Cannock Chase Council's proposal to permanently close the Prince of Wales Theatre at the point of the planned closure for what was going to be its much needed and much deserved refurb.

There is an awful lot to unpack with this decision. A lot of things that simply do not make sense, especially when a substantial sum had been awarded by the central government specifically for its renovation.
But right now, what the theatre needs is your support. There is a council vote on Thursday at the Civic Suite at 6pm. The only way we can imagine the closure will be voted against, is by showing the council what the theatre means to so many people.

If you know anyone who in any way has links to the theatre, whether your friend or family member is in a group that performs there, you've attended shows, or you know one of literally thousands of children that have trained and performed there; please know that it is all at risk of disappearing forever.

Please show your support for our much loved theatre in any way that you can.

Thank you.
