🎉 Parkinson's UK Stafford Branch is celebrating 40 years of supporting people with Parkinson’s in the Stafford area! 🏆💙
Join them at Stafford History Day on Saturday, 1st March as they mark this incredible milestone with an awareness and fundraising day in Market Square. 🌟
🚗✨ One of the highlights will be a classic car filled with balloons – can you guess the number? 🎈🤔 Take part in the competition and help raise funds to support those living with Parkinson’s.

Stafford History Day – Saturday, 1st March, 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Step back in time and explore Stafford’s rich heritage with Historic Stafford, the curators of the town’s most significant heritage sites.
📍 Historical Town Tours – Join Historic Stafford for guided tours around the town’s historic landmarks. (Booking details and times to follow.)
📍 Ancient High House – Discover the incredible work of the Borough Broderers, who created Stafford’s intricate embroidered textiles. A free tour will highlight their craftsmanship. Volunteers will also be stationed in key rooms to share fascinating, untold stories of the house’s history.
📍 Market Square – Experience a living history display as Stafford Castle comes to town!

🔹 Brass rubbing
🔹 Try on chain mail and armour

🎶 LIVE ON STAGE AT STAFFORD SPRING FAIR 🎶
📅 Saturday 15th March 2025🕛 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM📍 Market Square, Stafford
We’re thrilled to announce that Dan Walsh, one of the UK’s most celebrated banjo players, will be performing live on stage at the Stafford Spring Fair! 🎤🎸
🎵 A BBC Folk Awards Best Musician nominee, Dan is renowned for his incredible clawhammer banjo style, seamlessly blending British, Irish, and American folk traditions with funky grooves and original songwriting. With seven critically acclaimed solo albums and a reputation for delivering high-energy performances, Dan has wowed audiences across the globe. Whether playing for intimate crowds or commanding festival stages, his performances are always a must-see experience!

Alongside his solo work, Dan has collaborated with legendary artists such as Ward Thomas, Imelda May, Joss Stone, Seth Lakeman, and The Levellers. He has also worked on a major film soundtrack for Universal Studios and performed internationally, from the USA and Canada to Australia, New Zealand, and India. When not on the road, Dan teaches at Newcastle and Sheffield universities and has been invited to teach at the prestigious Midwest Banjo Camp in the USA – the only UK banjoist to receive such an honour!

Dan’s performance at the Stafford Spring Fair is part of an exciting day of entertainment featuring Vibe 1 Radio Roadshow, a fantastic lineup of market stalls, delicious food vendors, and family-friendly activities. The fair is organised by Stafford Town Partnership, in collaboration with Staffordshire Cultural Events CIC, Stafford Borough Council, and is supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

🎶 Live Performance Announcement – Stafford Spring Fair 🎶
Get ready for an electrifying live performance at the Stafford Spring Fair on Saturday, 15th March 2025, from 12 PM to 6 PM in the heart of Stafford Town Centre!
🔥 Pistol Pete Wearn will be tearing up the stage with his raw and raucous take on traditional blues. A renowned vocalist, slide guitarist, harmonica player, and songwriter, Pete is known for his high-energy performances, blending traditional blues with original material and the odd slide-guitar-infused cover. Armed with an acoustic guitar and stompbox, he brings an unmistakable sound that will get the crowd moving.
🎤 Career highlights include:
🎶 Airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music
🏆 Winner of Moonshine Magazine’s ‘Solo Blues Artist of the Year’ (2015-16)
🎭 A successful five-day run at the Edinburgh Fringe
