Yesterday, we had a visit from Victoria Seddon from The Lowry Hotel, Manchester💚
The beautiful venue recently underwent a full refurbishment in 2019. During this refurbishment, they added a wellness escape called The Retreat. With advanced technology, it offers a Crypotherapy Chamber, a Sensory Deprivation Tank and a Somodome, and the world's first mediation pod! They also have a yoga room that can be hired privately for all kinds of quirky events!💆
The Lowry has 165 beautiful large bedrooms, all with floor to ceiling windows with great views of the city and surrounding river✨
The Ballroom, which can accommodate 225 cabaret, is a spectacular space. It features floor to ceiling windows which makes the space very bright and airy, with great views of the city and river! The Ballroom comes with a registration area which would be great for a drinks reception. They also have some beautifully designed private dining rooms available to hire!😍

We had a lovely update visit from Danny Yates, William Hann and Harsh Sodani from Clermont Hotel Group to give us an update on their incredible London properties. They really are ‘home from home’ hotels!🤩
We were updated on the wonderful Thistle Marble Arch and The Cumberland Hotel, two incredibly easily accessible hotels, all located centrally near to both tube and train stations🚆
Thistle Marble Arch has 700 spacious bedrooms and 30 meeting spaces which are all located on the first floor, meaning no wondering delegates getting lost! There largest meeting space can accommodate 400 theatre style💚
The Cumberland with 900 beautifully designed bedrooms and 18 meeting spaces recently underwent a £2 million refurbishment! The largest meeting space can accommodate 200 cabaret style😍

Louise recently had the 'Greatest Day' that she will 'Never Forget'!
💬Thank you to Hilton Birmingham Metropole and Charlotte Quinn for hosting an incredible weekend!
After checking in and getting ‘Take That’ ready, I joined the group at Brightsmith on the Water for some tapas and cocktails! The party bus picked us up and we karaoke’d our way to Utilita Arena Birmingham for an evening of signing, dancing, Olly Murs, Take That and sweating!!😆
The next day we had a lazy morning with breakfast in the Executive Lounge which was needed!
As I was in Birmingham, it would have been rude not to pop in and see Simon Hassall-Pirie from the NEC Group and have a look at the incredible and versatile spaces they have available.
Another great weekend with a great group of people!

We had a lovely visit from Lewis Howe from Ensana Buxton Crescent and Charlotte Dawes from British Motor Museum yesterday.
🚗British Motor Museum
We learned an incredible fact about meetings and events at The British Motor Museum – They are a registered charity to which all of the money made through meetings and events get put back into the museum funding!
The British Motor Museum is extremely big on sustainability, and they have received their Gold Eco accreditation and are now working towards their Platinum. There largest ballroom can accommodate 600 theatre style and 360 cabaret, and all of their meeting spaces are extremely versatile with options of company branding and the spaces having vehicle access.
The Sky Suite is an incredible option for unique drinks receptions as it has a beautiful terrace surrounding it as well as there being the option to hire the actual museum to hold your reception! With 65 acres of greenery surrounding it, perfect for team building it really does offer everything you could need!
🧖Buxton Crescent
An extremely accessible hotel that is located right in the middle of Manchester and Birmingham so would be a great wild card option for either of these locations. The venue is a medical health spa venue with so much interesting history behind it. The venue has 4 swimming pools, 22 treatment rooms, 3 saunas, a salt cave and much more!
The Buxton water that millions drink every day comes from underneath this hotel!! The Grade I listed building underwent a £80 million rebuild in 2020.
All meeting spaces have floods of natural daylight and beautiful high ceilings, and the majority of all meeting spaces are all symmetrical! There main ballroom can accommodate 86 cabaret-style.

Yesterday we had a visit from the lovely Chris Parr, Sara Mullins, and Aziza from Accor Group!
We got some fantastic updates on a selection of their properties. Here is what we learned:
⭐ Pullman Budapest
This hotel has recently just changed brands from Hardrock to Pullman and they are currently in the process of refurbishing the venue to match that quirky Pullman vibe. The meeting spaces are super cosy and for nicer weather, they have a beautiful rooftop terrace which can accommodate 225 people, which would be great for drinks receptions!🥂
⭐ Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva
This venue has a large auditorium space which can accommodate a whopping 1300 delegates which would be great for launch events, seminars, and any large event. It comes well equipped with all AV technology. The venue underwent a refurbishment last year, so it is modern and in great nick!🤩
⭐ The Hoxton, Vienna
This is a brand new hotel which recently opened in February 2024. It is very centrally located and easily accessible. The whole venue has a very ‘fresh, funk and upbeat vibe’💃
⭐ The Hoxton, Edinburgh
Currently undergoing a full refurbishment, the hotel is due to re open in September 2024. Right next to Haymarket Station, it is very centrally located and easily accessible. The hotel's main meeting space can accommodate up to 200 delegates.
⭐ Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel
Centrally located, just 5 minutes from the train station, Manchester Piccadilly recently underwent a refurbishment in November 2023 of all bedrooms and general areas. It has free onsite car parking which is great for a city centre hotel. Its biggest meeting space can accommodate 500 delegates for a dinner.
⭐ Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village - managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts
This is a brand new hotel which opened in 2022. It has the Spine next door which supplies the majority of meeting spaces. The two venues are connected and the Novotel provides the accommodation aspect

🟢Lunch & Learn with Vine Hotels🟢
We had Liz Wood come in for a lunch and learn to speak about the properties within the Vine Hotels Collection.
👉 DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park: A very accommodating and versatile hotel with 9 meeting spaces, the largest space being able to accommodate 500 people theatre-style. The hotel has really good sized breakout spaces to accommodate attendees. It is going to be going through a refurbishment which they are hoping to be complete by September 2024.
👉 Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall & Spa: Very accessible hotel with it being located off the M1 and a mile from the city centre. It is a great venue for team building as it offers 12 acres of beautiful land and 9 meeting spaces with the largest being able to accommodate 70 people theatre-style. The hotel has just opened a new restaurant where they serve British, European and World foods using fresh and local ingredients.
👉 Best Western Cresta Court Hotel: Great transport links to the M6, M56 and M60. Parking is usually chargeable however is included within the DDR. It has 8 very flexible meeting space with the largest accommodating 350 people theatre-style. All meeting spaces are located on the ground floor with access to the breakout space and lounge area. The hotel is planning on having a refurbishment however all dates and plans are TBC.
👉 Clarion Charlecote Pheasant: The hotel is moving from an independent hotel to Clarion Hotel. Set in the heart of Shakespeare’s Country, the Charlecote Pheasant boasts over 5 acres of gardens. It has 6 wonderful meeting spaces all with natural daylight and the largest being able to accommodate 130 theatre-style, whilst also having 3 purpose-built training rooms.
