I often think of and talk about Ben's and Christina's wedding as an example of a wedding that was so utterly personal and true to them. In several ways, they broke with tradition, which made for a really authentic-feeling celebration that they were comfortable with.
πThe groom wore shorts (legendary move)
π§‘In the spirit of celebrating by their values, they asked guests to wear preloved items (I LOVED wearing my charity shop jump suit and the wedding flats I wore on my wedding day!)
πThey chose for a relaxed, whole-weekend celebration vibe
πThey balanced meaningful with party, and had several symbolic elements, from a hand fasting and a ring warming, to a cocktail mix πΉ
πThey walked up the aisle together and didn't request guests to stand
π They read their vows to each other away from the guests and the ceremony so they were able to make those promises in private, without the pressure of everyone watching
