I often think of and talk about Ben's and Christina's wedding as an example of a wedding that was so utterly personal and true to them. In several ways, they broke with tradition, which made for a really authentic-feeling celebration that they were comfortable with.

💜The groom wore shorts (legendary move)
🧡In the spirit of celebrating by their values, they asked guests to wear preloved items (I LOVED wearing my charity shop jump suit and the wedding flats I wore on my wedding day!)
💚They chose for a relaxed, whole-weekend celebration vibe
💛They balanced meaningful with party, and had several symbolic elements, from a hand fasting and a ring warming, to a cocktail mix 🍹
💙They walked up the aisle together and didn't request guests to stand
💖 They read their vows to each other away from the guests and the ceremony so they were able to make those promises in private, without the pressure of everyone watching

What an absolute DELIGHT to be part of these two's big day!

From personal favours and a fun leaflet for all to peruse pre ceremony, to a surprise ring bearer, followed by a crazy golf course, a tattoo bar and ice cream van, these two really did have FUN in mind when they planned their big day!

I absolutely loved hearing the story how these two met, became inseparable and fell in love ❤🧡💛 and I was delighted with their chose colour scheme as I am a BIG FAN of hot pink and orange!! Thank you for trusting me to tell your story and create a celebration for you 🤗

There are some ceremonies that will stay in my mind for how chilled, FUN, and natural it felt! With some rowdy teachers, audible snorting from the teenage sons, and tears from others, these two had such a personal, touching and joyous start to their wedding 💙💖💙

When I arrived, Jo was chilling with some bubbles in her Bride PJs outside the yurt, wanting to feel part of the party, and Dave was having a drink, and living his best life🕺

🌳🌲🌳We then all gathered in the woodland ceremony area and listened to some beautiful sax playing from Isabella🎷 as Francesca walked her mum down the aisle 👰. It was a true celebration of two families coming together 💗

A wedding of two diamonds (one of them - Yusef- is missing from the photo! I'm not referring to myself as anything near gem-like, more a smooth pebble 🤣)

With their relationship formed with intense heat and under immense pressure, which then survived a continent relocation, this wedding was SUCH a celebration of true love!!

It was a perfectly stunning wedding, in the quintessential English garden of the bride's parents' home, with notes of Brazil, Morocco and Spain.

Well, WHAT A HAPPY DAY!!!

Congratulations Brett and Cait!!

Cait was, hands down, the most laugh-out-loud bride I have ever done a ceremony for! I don't think a minute of the ceremony went by without her laughing! And Brett was obviously as pleased as punch to be marrying her 💜

Cait did all the flower arranging herself, and it looked truly fabulous in the natural surrounds at

The wind rustled through the trees, the fish swam lazily around the pond, and their dog, Billy, well and truly entered the celebratory spirit with excited barking and a spontaneous victory roll at the end of the ceremony!

The photographer and videographer were 2 fabulous blokes, and I will tag them when I find their Insta handle!

Honestly, it was SUCH a pleasure to get to know these two! They have found joy, and I hope marriage brings so many more hilarious moments!

🌦🌫☀️The weather was a bit touch and go, but these guys were going to have one hell of a celebration regardless!

🌳Such a personal wedding from start to finish in a woodland clearing near their home. They had a tree planting, an Estonian poem and their dog as the ring bearer. They worked hard to create their vision and the end result was simply beautiful, wellies and all!

Do I want to do it all again?! JAH ANNAME!

I'm so excited to be here on Sunday!

You'll find me in some jazzy clothes, smiling, hair looking slightly wild if the wind picks up, handing out a wee drinkie-poo 🍹 to bribe people to come and talk to me about having an amazing Celebrant wedding!!

I know there'll be some super creative exhibitors and is a BEAUTIFUL venue for those who love the outdoor vibe so hopefully some of you there!

What a fabulous Spring day! With kilts and the gorgeous blooming flowers, it was such a colourful wedding!

Some cracking live music form Laura, followed by a Caelidh, all captured by the fabulous and chilled married duo (I quote a guest when I say 'I actually want him to be my life coach' 😂)

There were tears, laughter, stories, readings, a hand fasting, cat details - a beautiful and personal wedding!

Just a little pic from my holiday 🌍

You might not particularly care, and maybe think this post is a bit braggy 😆 ... but to all my couples from 2023, thank you for choosing me! It was partly down to you that we could afford to take our 2 daughters to Kenya to visit their Auntie Liz, Uncle Roo and two cousins 😍 I feel so unbelievably privileged that we have had the opportunity to travel, share the world with our daughters, and have family that have shared every moment of Christmas, New Year and their lives with us for the past 12 days.

I'm not quite back to reality yet, but my first call with a prospective 2024 couple is tonight, which is totally distracting me from the pre-work blues (my other job as a teacher creating the bluish tinge, not anything to do with Celebranting, which is simply and genuinely full of joy!)

As I look forward to 2024, I know there will be a lot of change. But really, for me, life is all about creating joy and revelling in it. So whatever lays ahead, I'm so excited for all the 2024 weddings and the moments of happiness I get to share with some delightful people.

2024, let's be having ya!!
