The lucky winner of a 12-month WW2 Pod: We Have Ways of Making You Talk Patreon membership (worth over £70) chose to remain ‘internet anonymous’. Muttering that ‘socials’ meant something entirely different in 1944...

Thankfully we caught his Commanding Officer, wearing a non-regulation uniform, chatting to James and Al after our event*.

Our founder and Waterloo Uncovered rep, Prof. Tony Pollard and exhausted marketing team (in the body of one human) Stewart Ainslie reunited for D-Day Replayed (a sibling event to Friends of THE GREAT GAME WATERLOO REPLAYED).

Stew, is the creator of the ‘Replayed’ re-roll logo. Bough Studio drew the ‘Great Game’ campaign graphic in 2018.

Hours after wrapping up D-Day Replayed we asked our players for their unfiltered criticism from Probably* the largest amphibious assault of all time (in twenty eight millimetres).

Robbie is Probably* a Carlsberg drinker. We were thrilled with this comment in spite of his detailed list of constructive crit!

An honourable mention goes to his Axis MVE (Most Valuable Equine), 'Dobbin'. His horse-drawn lumber survived all four of Robbie's campaign games!

We caught Mark on his way home from Operation Overlord with his copy signed copy of Sword Beach by Stephen Fisher yesterday evening.

Sword Beach was published days ago. And Stephen kindly donated a signed hardback from his personal collection.

Pegasus Bridge from the Allied perspective.

This 6x4 board is one of four ‘specials tables’ present at D-Day Replayed: Operation Overlord over the weekend. The others being Villers-Bocage, Carentan (‘the’ Junction) and Merville Battery.

We relied on our supporters for much of our terrain needs.

Pegasus was provided by our Official Partners, Warlord Games. Their donation which included the Sarissa Precision Limited MDF kit!

Two US Airborne 650pt forces for The Big Drop this Friday. Stew will lend one set to a D-Day Replayed: Operation Overlord player, the other is a house army.

The figures in the second pic (house army) shouldn’t see action. As reserves, they’ll deploy only if we have Allied players pull out at short notice.

We’ve customised Warlord Games Bolt Action special rules for the D-Day Replayed: The Big Drop and D-Day Replayed: Operation Overlord.

This helps games run fast and will assist any ‘inexperienced lieutenants’ with rules that might be new to them. Big Drop muzzle flash required tokens. An excuse to paint MDF bases on vibrant yellow!

Speaking of Big Drop… only one Allied slot remains! 🎟️

This time next week the D-Day Replayed: The Big Drop will see players parachute into Normandy in 28mm.

On Saturday (8th) morning, D-Day Replayed: Operation Overlord takes the fighting to the beaches.

And on Sunday 9th, players combine their strength for doubles games in land.

Army lists are due, so if you’re thinking of taking part in D-Day Replayed. It’s now or never folks! 🎟️

D-Day Replayed is a narrative campaign with two events over three days in Stirling, Scotland. We’re playing Bolt Action (V2) and our narrative battles are linked, your actions have consequences.

We’re a supporting Waterloo Uncovered with our profits. Terrain from the event will equip our supporting clubs with Normandy tabletop scenery for future years.

We partnered with Warlord Games and Sarissa Precision Limited to deliver this unique campaign weekend.

A weekend WIP of the Sarissa Precision Limited Pegasus Bridge kit via Warlord Games! We’ve built and are priming this in stages to help us consider whether spot glue or magnets might help bring it all apart after our Operation Overlord Event. Magnets would seem an obvious choice as we could line them up with the pre-designed MDF pegs. With a little under two weeks to go, watch this space!
