What fun, everyone did a great job and made wonderful corsages, all totally different but equally lovely.

I met the wonderful Ange a few weeks back and, after being totally enthralled with her work, booked her for a proper shoot, and wow, with the most vague of briefs she has totally captured my dream photographs.

One of my absolute favourite creations to date, this beautiful log covered in fungi, has been carved out to
enable it to be planted up with trailing Ivy, pelargonium, narcissus bulbs, and alliums, there are also little tubes of water slotted in for the cut hyacinths and tulips, I do this with all my pots and planters at home, meaning if I fancy a change I just pop different flowers in rather than having to swap plants.

Lovely Hungarian basket from planted with a wild Phalanopis orchid, Stephanotis, Gardenia, and Ceropegia, finished with cushion moss and bark. This will make a beautiful centrepiece and smell wonderful.

After a very busy weekend, today has been a chance to reflect on the past few months. Not only am I very grateful to everyone that's been down to the Lodge for flowers or placed orders over the phone, but I'm also amazed and thankful for the support from other local businesses, I've had the wonderful opportunity to work with and collaborate with some fantastic small independent shops and eateries. I'm so excited about the opening of on Friday 29th March. Please do pop down this weekend and say hi to the fabulous team, and have a look at the incredible space they've worked so hard to create. I've been lucky enough to have a sneaky peak, and it's really something special!

As well as a great new menu, there is also some serious retail therapy to be had!

A few little snaps from today's wedding, how beautiful are the colours of peach, apricot, and coral.

Really delighted with this church front, made totally foam free using a framework made by my clever husband, with vases attached and then covered in chicken wire.

Thanks once again to for braving the very inclement weather today and helping to make this so beautiful!

Just one of the arrangements that left the Lodge this week. Gosh, it's been busy with so many familiar faces popping down this week. I just love these garden cappuccino roses. The colour is soooo pretty, and it seems to blend so well with so many other tones.

Sometimes, simplicity is best! I love this copper ceramic urn. It really lends itself to this type of arrangement and beautifully reflects the orange tones of the flowers. Using a framework of silverbirch to support the flowers, the flower stems are simply slotted into position.

Such a lovely day at the Lodge today. The sun was shining, it was a really busy morning with lots of familiar faces.
Then this afternoon, we had the Houghton village Easter event, and what a great turnout. These little posies were handed out to the families that attended. I hope you all had a wonderful time in the beautiful walled garden! It was lovely meeting you all.

Whilst the rain continues to persist, its definitely getting warmer, which must mean spring is in the air!

Frittilaria, which one do you prefer? I just love them all. If I had to choose, it would be the orange imperialis with lovely straight stems and downward facing bells, im sure there could be a little fairy tucked up inside. Spring is a magical time for flowers!

Just how beautiful are these layered anemones, with their delicate fluffy petals, I love the way the colour fades from red to soft blush pink. The centres also have an iridescent blue hue that almost sparkles in the light. Nature never ceases to amaze me!

Really delighted with how this turned out, although it is a bit of an experiment. As the months progress it becomes harder to find lasting elements for outdoor installations, however this is full of spring bulbs that will open and flower for a changing appearance, the tulips also have the bulbs still attached, as featured in a previous post, it will be interesting to see how they hold up. As i drive past each morning, I will be checking the progress and, if needed, removing or replacing any elements that haven't performed as expected. Plus, I'll also be taking further pictures as the bulbs open!!!
