She was going to be called Leo, or Remember Who You Are. And then, like it says on the tin, exactly what she is. The Lion in the Sky.
This was the one painting I just HAD to create. Encompassing so much meaning for me I’ll start with a few lyrics..
‘I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath. Scared to rock the boat or make a mess.

This cool constellation is a reminder to remember, remember who-you-are. Maybe those we love really do become stars. Shining bright to lead the way, with a roar to remind you of your courage.
All the Lion wanted from Oz was courage. Ok the Wizard probably tricked him, we’ve seen Wicked. But still, he managed to do that because he already had it within. It’s the act of courage that makes us brave. Facing your fears and doing it anyway.
My Nona was a Leo so I’ve always felt empowerment from a Lion. Some of us believe our ancestors leave us signs.. like finding a coin with ‘The Red Lion’ on while travelling. To come home and eventually host events at ‘The Red Lion’. Coincidence. If you believe in them of course.
The Lion reminds us to live with passion, to lead with kindness and embrace our inner strength. While the spiritual meaning can represent facing life’s adversities, whatever the challenge, you can overcome all with nobility, serenity and ‘flaming enthusiasm’ 💕♥️
