Rising Stars enhances the skills, confidence and aspirations of children and young people in Stockport and Greater Manchester through music, art, media and events. Our aim is to
• Develop the creative skills of young people through music, filming and events.
• Encourage participation in music and the arts amongst young people in the region.
• Cultivate the arts of music and films, particularly am

Rising Stars in conjunction with Pie Radio Presents

'A Foot In' – a series of short courses and workshops created to improve participants' key skills, boost confidence, communication, and networking skills, and bring people closer to further education, volunteering, and the job market.

The series will cover various pathways to a career in the entertainment and creative media industry: Presenting, Producing, Podcasting, Social Media, Branding, and Marketing, with practical exercises.

By the end of the project, you will have developed a better understanding of the various career paths in the creative industry, with volunteering experiences you can add to your CV.
