A really lovely day full of joy.
Beautifully captured by Jamie Ellis Photography. So looking forward to seeing the rest.
The ceremony captured R and G’s desire to touch upon Pagan beliefs, and we found some lovely poems that we adapted to directly speak to them.
R had grown olive trees from tiny cuttings and onto those were placed tags and messages from their friends and family attached to crystals.
Seeds were planted by the bride and groom and by their children who will go with them on their new journey .
Bay leaves were crushed as a sign of embracing the past as a welcome guest, as it is everything that has happened before that had led them to this moment.
Vows beautifully designed for the brilliant I Do designs and placed on the altar.
The whole day was so special. I was proud to be a part of it and create this beautiful ceremony .

What’s the difference between a celebrant and a registrar?

It is a question I get asked a lot.

There is a world of difference between them.

You won’t meet your registrar before the day.

With a celebrant, your story and your ceremony will be crafted moment by moment by someone who cares deeply that your ceremony reflects who you are and what you believe in, with rituals that have profound meaning for you .

So how do you want to cross the milestone to marriage?

Yesterday, I spent all morning at Chester Town Hall with a wonderful couple. Their ceremony is going to capture Gary’s pagan beliefs, including placing crystals with messages on homegrown olive trees, a blessing with the tartan handfasting, and the planting of seeds. There will be no flowers apart from a bouquet but seed planting as a sign of renewal and crushing bay leaves to blow out the old and bring in the new.

This is their day and every moment of the ceremony has come out of lots of talking lots of talking, lots and lots of listening and sharing of ideas gradually shaping what I’ve heard into an imaginative, creative and unique ceremony.

That is the difference between Celebrant and a Registrar. It’s personal and it matters so much to me.

The ceremony will show everybody how much they love each other, how they want the future to be and will unite their families as one. Everyone has a part to play.

The ceremony matters, choose a Celebrant.
