Combining theatre and celebrant work ❤️

Thank you to all who attended the very first Northern Rep Theatre Monologue Slam last night, and also to our very gracious hosts, the gorgeous The Button Warehouse.

Well done to those audience members who got up and got involved, possibly a little more than you expected to, and thank you for all of the support you showed our finalists, Lydia McGarty, Anthony Cadogan and Leah Eddleston

There was fierce competition from all three performers and all were well received. Our fine judging panel had an unenviable task in deciding our winner but there could only be one and after considered discussion, Leah was announced as our victor, walking away with the trophy, a £100 cash prize and the title of winner of our first ever Monologue Slam!

Once again, thanks to everyone who came along and especially to our three performers. There will be more events in the future so keep an eye on our pages and we'll see you soon.

I met some really lovely couples and suppliers at the wedding fair yesterday. People who give so much to the world - carers, nhs workers, teachers, volunteers. Whatever you do I hope you have the most amazing wedding day. ❤️🥂 oh and by the way, I still think this is the best wedding cake I’ve ever seen. .faaaye

The exciting addition to the line-up for An Evening with Lesley, Sue & David too, is BAFTA nominee and OBE recipient, Sue Johnston.

The Cheshire-born actress, known for her performances in The Royle Family, Brassed Off and Waking the Dead, amongst countless others, will be joining her friends David Threlfall and Lesley Nicol at MADS Theatre Little Theatre on 22nd March 2024 at 7:30pm, hosted by Northern Rep Theatre, where they will discuss their lives and experiences, as well as taking some questions directly from the audience.
