MATERNITY LEAVE HAS STARTED // OUT OF OFFICE 💕
Just a reminder for those who may not know (although I don’t know how bcz I’ve definitely been going on about it 🤣) that maternity leave has started for me 💕 I’ll introduce my little girl to you all soon but for now I’m going to enjoy the bubble away from social media.

I know we’re meant to be doing reels now (🙄🤦‍♀️😩) but there is NO WAY I’m turning this gorgeous film into a squashed up, short reel. It’s too epic for that - it needs a proper post and laid out horizontally 😅🤣😍
So here you go - Michelle & Sophie looking stunning & oozing love on their wedding day 💖 what a fabulous day it was & what fabulous girls! I couldn’t have enjoyed myself more on the day. This wedding was not only a huge shout out of their love for one another but also a massive celebration of the journey they’d already been through to get to this day. Girls - you bloody deserved this gorgeous day ❤️

que lots of giggles, holding hands and a few bum squeezes here and there 😝 in between all of their portrait moments with their photographer . We took Nicky & Rob for a 15 min walk around the grounds at and as quick as that: we got these gorgeous shots - leaving the rest of the day for some serious party vibes… more of that to come 😘

Getting the grandparents involved ❤️
How could I not set this little teaser to our bride’s grandad’s reading (which is actually a poem written by nan).
Wise words to pass on to Georgia & Rob - and worthwhile listening to as Grandad and Nan have been married for “over 2000 days”❤️

Grandad was originally meant to be doing a reading in the church where Georgia & Robert had intended on first getting married (but Covid had other ideas). To make sure Grandad still got his important moment on his granddaughter’s wedding day - nan wrote a poem for him to read 🥺❤️😭🥰
I can’t actually cope with how much this one got me. (Gosh I miss my nan & grandad).

Now THIS is exactly why I’m such an advocate for filming at weddings (even if it isn’t me!) - yes, gosh does the footage look dreamy (i mean Georgia looks just bloody stunning in this) but my word; having footage of Grandad’s voice reading out the poem written by nan, on the day of your wedding - I mean THAT is a memory to be treasured forever. I know I wish every day I could hear my grandads voice again 🥺💔

When mum roasts you during your wedding speeches 😅🤪
Have a slight feeling that “fake tanning together” was meant to remain a secret 🤫🤣
Tessa’s mum absolutely made us all howl with laughter during her fabulous speech - I couldn’t not include it so I’ve selected a few moments. Tessa & Jonathan’s day was absolutely fabulous from start to finish and very emotional after waiting for this day to finally come. And once again I got the pleasure of hearing some fantastic, heartfelt (and a little bit cheeky) speeches.

🎥 Film Friday 🍿
I can’t explain how much I loved this wedding!
The speeches, the rain (rain CAN be absolutely fabulous on your wedding day btw), the commitment from everyone travelling from Canada 🇨🇦 to get over to the UK - this film just oozes romance & love to me, along with laughter and dear friendship. Have I mentioned the speeches ❤️
My lovely couple; these gorgeous Doctors, have worked so tirelessly during the last few years that it really puts me and my business struggles into perspective. I’m glad Vicky & Rob finally got chance to enjoy their well deserved wedding day here in the Peak District and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing it for them, alongside .What a stunning, elegant and joyous day it was.
On another note - I don’t think I’ve ever posted one of my longer 10 min films. 1) because I get so nervous still! Haha but 2) because it’s just not something you “should” do on social media - people want things fast with less attention. But really that’s kind of the opposite to what I’m about - I want to create elegant stories for the longevity, so that in 10,20,30+ years time you are still taken back to that very moment in a timeless way. So really, I suppose this film shows what I’m all about. And that’s definitely the love, the family, friends & those beautiful sounds ❤️

Showcase Sunday 🤩 🍿 🎥
Titled: “CiDeR DrInKiNg GoB oN LeGs” 🤣 NOT my words - but our Groom’s to his new wife 😆🤣
Bloody love these two for just being themselves and allowing me to have a good laugh with them capturing it all. ❤️
I met Leanne & Jake whilst Leanne was a bridesmaid for another one of my brides, gosh, over 2 years now! I remember hitting it off with them on that day & them asking me by the end of it to capture theirs (sounds like a date 😆). I took it with a pinch of salt as it could have just been the drinks talking 😜 but nope; a few days later they confirmed their booking with me and we’ve been on countdown ever since!
I loved capturing their wedding day, their way and creating a film that just shows who they are. (And it meant I got to go back to the Lake District once again 🤩)

Wedding Wednesday! 👰 💒 🎥
ok so every day is wedding related for me 🤣 but who doesn’t love a little sneak peak at another postponed gorgeous wedding that FINALLY got to go ahead! 🙌
This is the utterly amazing wedding of Roxy & Mark and I’m not really sure where to start with it - cue singers, west end performances, one of the most amazing bands, pianists, marquees on the family estate, quaint family village church, meat & potato pie for their meal, lots of champagne, plenty of heartfelt speeches & a huge dose of love - this wedding definitely had it all - or as our groom Mark said: “the Hayes music festival weekend” 🤣
disclaimer that this was filmed way back in August 2021 but seeing it just now; well, that’s more to do with me being in an editing rabbit hole atm and seriously lacking any time or really any savy, business-related intelligence and just ignoring my social media (you know that thing that brings me bookings 🙈) …someone do it for me please? 😩🤣

Bye 2021 👋 aka busiest year EVER 🤪🤯😝 (well the last 6 months at least)

37 couples saying I Do (and a little f you🖕to Covid)
9 children seeing their parents get married 🥰 (plus 1 dog!)
40 wedding dresses 👰
Over 400 hours filmed 🎥
3507 miles travelled 🧳
16 hotel stop overs
Approx. 10,000 cup of teas
And probably around that many amount of hours editing too 🙈🤪😅
A lot of snacks, patience and persistence 🙌

These last 6 months of 2021 have pretty much been 18 months of combined work. It’s been crazy to say the least but I have LOVED seeing so many gorgeous ppl finally get married. Here’s to plenty more in 2022 🙌

Yesterday’s wedding was truly the PERFECT way to finish off this year of filming weddings 🙌
Gorgeous couple, wonderful setting and what a beautiful family. Thank you & Rob for having me! I cannot wait to work on this but for now enjoy that bloody epic honeymoon you have planned!

How to start film 🎥🤯🙈🤭
Sometimes I will spend days pondering how to start my wedding films (often it’s because I’m searching for the perfect music!).
I made this one particularly difficult for myself because I started their highlights film with an epic bang 🙌🎉 (see further down my grid). So I was super happy with myself that I managed to create something completely different for their feature film 🎞 … they said they wanted movie like 😜 think I nailed it 🙌😝☝️

I get the honour of filming some FABULOUS weddings. This one ☝️ is definitely up there with some of my faves. When Roxanna & Mark told me there would be a whole host of surprise performers, including west end favourites, I never thought I would be standing infront of one of the 🤩😫😍
I can’t wait to show you the full film but for now I’m absolutely head down in a swamp of editing and probably won’t be coming up for air until Christmas! 🙈😅 until then … I shall have to listen to my very own private performance by the best Elphaba out there 🤪

And it’s all these gorgeous postponed weddings as to why I’ve been slightly radio silent! Super busy filming and then editing (gosh I’ve never stared at my computer so much 🙈) ; throw in 2 weeks of having Covid, 2 weeks of my little one being very poorly & hey presto - no time for anything else! So it’s about time I show what I’ve actually been up to 🙈

Have I told you how awesome my couples are!? 🥰
this post is really for them:
A huge thank you for their patience & support. It’s been a really busy & tough summer. For everyone in the industry, not just me. Postponed weddings have meant less editing days and more time away from home (throw in me getting pretty ill with Covid too for 2 bloody weeks in the middle of it all 🤦‍♀️). I normally only take on a certain amount and actually when I planned to have my daughter Rose; it was an important part of my business to make sure I only took on so much, so it wouldn’t interfere with my time with her, as well as allowing enough time to concentrate on the edits of the weddings I do capture. Unfortunately it hasn’t gone as smoothly as editing during the days straight after the weddings and getting lots off time with Rose 😢 …and there’s been plenty of tears from me about it. I LOVE my job - it’s the best. I get to be a part of the happiest days of people’s lives and I’m always going to be grateful for that. But I’ve really struggled recently with the balance of it all. Yet I have these absolutely amazing clients who believe in me, know how hard I worked on their wedding days and know it won’t stop just there and are behind my small little business all the way, knowing the reason why I wont rush is because I wont compromise on my quality. I’m transparent as possible and there is a lot of editing to get through; if I can get it sooner to you I will but I promise you - it will definitely be worth the wait 😘
