It's a busy week for the Events Division with teams onsite across the UK.

In Sheffield we've delivered the site & event production to the new Euro2024 fan zone - FanCity, with Sheffield's largest LED screen.

In Birmingham we've concluded our three event series with the much-loved UoB Grad Ball, taking place at The Vale this year due to the usual site being unavailable at short notice!

Big thanks to all of our teams out there making it happen!

This week we're onsite with the team from the University of Birmingham providing a lovely relaxing series of events and activities for the end of the academic year.

It's fantastic to be able to switch from large-scale music festivals to beautifully formed community-based events and it's fair to say some of our team really lovely the change of pace they offer!

Plus the sun always helps make outdoor events more fun

Slam Dunk Festival is in our blood and ingrained into the DNA of the business... The Festival is what makes us happy and keeps us up at night for most of the first half of the year - every year!

We are fortunate to be tasked with producing both the South & North editions of the biggest 1-day Festival in the UK
..and the South team who've been on-site since 13 May & cleared site at 16:00 on Friday 31 May really pulled out all the stops and delivered a great experience for all!

We were thrilled & delighted to be named as the UK Best Health & Safety company at the Festival Supplier Awards 2024 last week.

This is the first award that we have entered for our H&S work and the win links beautifully with the re-launch of our dedicated Event Safety division LFX Safety - headed up by Eddy Grant, who will take on the mantle and lead on the delivery of our Event Safety services going forward.

The Award - presented by Huw Stephens, was accompanied by a statement from the judges referencing our work with Brighton Pride CIC, and stating " it was brilliant to see such proactivity from a supplier, providing the event organiser with guidance and recommendations to improve how the event is run. "

Like all small companies we run on a dedicated core team and an array of highly motivated and incredibly talented Contractors & Freelancers without whom this Award wouldn't have been possible - we salute & thank you all!

Renowned Event Safety Specialist, Eddy will head up the growing Event Safety division within LFX Events taking on responsibility for developing the Company’s event safety division and steering its progress as the business expands with significant new contract wins and growth internationally.

Eddy is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety and Health, Professor of Professional Practice in Events Management, at the Institute of Business, Industry and Leadership. University of Cumbria, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy... and brings a wealth of real-world experience to the Company with his extensive work on major national, international & global events across all areas of the events sector.
