We are looking for cars, tractor etc to take part in our vintage vehicle show and parade on show day.

Please note it does say tractor in the show schedule but we are now opening it up to vintage vehicles!

Northumberland Estates are recruiting for an experienced Head Shepherd at Linhope Estate.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to oversee the management of its farming interests, comprising 1,200 Blackface ewes and 1,000 pedigree and commercial Cheviot ewes.

Applicants must be self-motivated, reliable and skilled, with a good knowledge of hill and inbye husbandry. A passion for livestock and an interest in how farming can complement wider conservation management are also essential.

If so Kirkley Hall are offering a Forestry Skills bootcamp to help you achieve your goal.
The bootcamp is 70 hours, delivered over a period of 3 months and includes:

Emergency first aid at work level 3
Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting level 2
Bushcutters and trimmers level 2
Tractor driving
3 industry visits
CV and interview prep
Real job interview with a company within the industry.

The aim of the bootcamp is to get you into employment and you will have to be committed to attend every session.

Drum roll... our official attendance figure this year was 21,627 on Saturday 25th May.

Considering our weather and ground conditions we are really pleased that so many of you lovely people came out in your wellies and had a great day. Thank you to you all for supporting the show, being so upbeat about the mud and smiling in the sunshine. We also thank all of the hundreds of volunteers who gave up their time to help our visitors and competitors - amazing teamwork from everyone.
