Trackies are a no go but its my managers descretion sp if yojr a t your not coming in if your trecking up and down the alley with ya kestrel super strength can and p!ssing in the doorways or asking my customers for money and f**s you clearly cant afford a bevvy so your no good to me , if youv got a pocket fulla pills and a back pack fulla mild cheddar and last weeks lamp chops your trying to offload i wouldnt bother trying either lets have a good chew free weekend

Happy midweek peeps , this is where we dive feet first into our final 4 weeks of the Wimpole as you know it . The Wimpole as it is we have created from pretty much scratch since taking over in 2020 from customers to regular entertainment . The safe , chilled and fun venue everyone enjoys to party in and most of us know each others name and favourite shots .
Since taking over in jan 2020 the prices of pints have gone up £1 which really isnt bad considering the price increases on everything else .
The custom has changed round and round and back again as people know where they want to be , so there will be barneys , disagreements and stubbornness but its all usually sorted within weeks .
I will miss chin wagging with the regulars and also meeting new faces who turn into regulars .
Its sometimes like a community hub where ppl have a s time and come see familiar faces and unwind .
I genuinley beleive i have brought this venue as far as i can the same as i did with my first venue The Cattle . I hope the person who has it next smashes it but i genuinley beleive i couldnt have done it any better and it will not be busier than it has been over the last 4 and abit years . With the help of a fab team i was ready to give in after the lockdown saga but i stood by it bare in mind i opened in jan and lockdown hit march just after id built it up . Id beyond had enough 6 mnth ago and handed the reins over to my finace who since has ran it , promoted cocktails and even learnt to Dj but it is impossible in this day and age to continue with the costs continuing to increase and the local idiots finally working out where the venue is and other venues telling them to come to mine when they r removed from theirs . We have managed to stick to doing the doors ourselfs and stil made it safe running ourselves ragged in the process . Its no lie iv manged to p**s quote a few venues off for simply being me and being busy when others havent , oopsi dead sorry about that like ..NOT
But all in all its been another once in a life time experience that iv accomplished and that Leah has helped and been by my side day in day out .
Now on that note lets smash the last month

Hey peeps, abit of an essay for yas to get ya eye balls around , i have been umming and aahhing for months and im not 1 to make spare of the moment decisions ( much ) but i am letting you all know i have handed my notice in for The Wimpole im doing 5 weeks before we close . The last Wimpole weekend as you know it with me , Leah and our team will be -
fri 12th july 7pm - 3am
sat 13th july 7pm - 3am
sunday 14th july 7pm - 3am

we really want to thank everyone for all your continued support and loyalty and hope you continue to support us for our final weeks and come to our closing bash . We are finishing the sunday with a mammoth CLUBLAND PARTY . There are drinks and party packages available . Obvs everyone will want to know why .... non of ya business (kiddin ) i havent enjoyed it for a long time , iv taken myself away from it for months but the town is a different place to what it was 10 yrs ago when i got my 1st pub . People are different , other venues are different , prices of everything are different . Working a pub down a small alley way isnt the prettiest of places however we have made it into a hidden gem . People still refer the atmosphere as a seaside pub everyone having fun and happy . The respect i have gained has enabled me to continue without doorstaff because i built it correctly from my day 1 , every tempoary event notice has been approved . I have had minimum incidents since taking over ( 1 incident over 2 yrs ago and they still havent been for the cctv so technically it isnt an incident ) i can honestly say i have put my all and more into it . My fiancee took over 5 months ago managing it for me and its thrived , she couldnt have done a better job changing things that needed changing and making it work . The staff past and present have helped massivley creating and maintaining the happy chilled atmosphere we have each and every week .
once again thank you for helping me bring the Wimpole alive and smash it . Its sad times but also time to put myself and my family first .

If your guna rock up dressed like the fresh prince in your market special shellsuit and traxx special trainers dont bother as we dont allow trackies because each time we did we were reminded it only brings chew .

Wow , what an amazing weekend Last night was unreal . Some of our friends from London came to see us ( my 1st regulars from when i had the Cattle market years ago ) the place was booming , atmosphere was out of this world . Massive welldone to the team for ensuring everyone was safe , served as soon as poss and had an enjoyable evening . Thanks to each and everyone who joined us it doesnt go unmissed.
